I thoroughly researched the moving companies available to me in the Seattle area prior to selecting one to pack, store for ten months, then deliver and unpack all of our possessions that we have spent a lifetime collecting, creating, and meticulously maintaining. I was assured by your employees that I could not find a more careful moving company and I was promised I would get the A-Team for our move.
The delivery was scheduled for 9:00 AM, and it was only scheduled! I arrived at 10:00 AM, an hour late, and a rude old woman told me to reschedule for tomorrow! You can spend the night near the fence; there's no toilet!
The actual move was very poor. It cost us $32,000! Besides things being broken like dining chairs and lladro sculptures, several things were not included in the move such as screws, bolts, nuts, cables and cords after they disassembled every possible piece. The parts that they disassembled weren’t even kept together. Still looking for parts of tv stands and carts. But no hardware there either.

Horrible experience. Lots of lost items. I told them I needed a full trailer, which I knew from a recent move from Minneapolis, but they showed up with a partial trailer. They then had to do a second move (because, of course, the estimator …
Warehouse employees are awesome, but the dispatch is not at all helpful or willing to work with drivers. Just a reminder if there weren't any drivers you would have no business.

UPDATE 2026: We moved back from TN to WA and used Chipman a second time. Warren and Brandi were very helpful this second time around, particularly in the initial stages when we didn't have a move date or destination location locked down. For the second time, everything went smoothly from the quote to Brandi getting us ready to the move to the actual move-out and move-in. Every was very professional from end-to-end, our stuff arrived undamaged, and the speed that the movers loaded and unloaded was surprising.

We’ve moved in Oregon and into/out of Washington several times and used different companies each time, but we will be using this company for our next (and hopefully final) move for sure. So organized, Brandi and Warren were very responsive and helpful, and Roel and his crew of movers were so friendly while also being fast and efficient! And we had a crappy driveway and they didn’t seem to care and kept things moving smoothly the whole time.
