This review is at the request of Colonial Van and Storage in Sparks, Nevada who emailed me asking me to review them. I would give them negative stars if I could. They were not professional and not responsive to the problems. This was our 10th move and by far the worst. We had booked this mover over a month before our move and I even paid for the move ahead of time so there would be no snags.
This was the worst experience. I am a veteran and and just lost my mother who was tragically taken from us(also a Veteran). I needed her household goods shipped to me due to living in different states. The lack of communication was …
I’m only giving 1 star because you can’t give anything less. This company is a total disaster! Huge delays, mismanagement at every stage of the process. Early on I had major reservations about using this company, but against my better judgment I booked my move with them anyway. Big mistake!! Can’t trust them, they couldn’t tell the truth to save their life. Only good thing about the company is the folks that actually do the work (packagers and drivers), they are honest hard working people.
Absolutely terrible company. David Sutton was our agent. No accounting of items for packers, didn’t complete packing on date stated, left many irreplaceable items behind including 3 year old boys toys, grandmothers heirlooms, deceased Pomeranian’s ashes, etc. when confronted zero accountability and would not deliver “overflow” items unless we paid and extra 4K.

Pretty bad customer service. Zero notice with a 700 up charge the day before long distance move. Beware of a 20 percent up charge that you are forced to take even though your contract states your max move charge. This charge is for the location of the property which they came to visit to do the quote. Unethical.
This is probably the worst experience I have ever had in 66 years. It started with a saleman lying for personal gain to people not knowing anything about our belongings or where they were to being 14 days late. I would never use this company again or recommend them to anyone.
The packers and driver were very good. The ops manager Dana was evasive and deceitful. The local team told me I should buy my own boxes. I did the the packers said they would not use them and suggested I should request some relief. I …
Do not ever go with this company. Several of items were broken and scratched. We even had items stolen in the warehouse. Now they are being hard to deal with. We paid over 6000 to get all are furniture destroyed.

Cliff and Tyler were the most professional, courteous, and meticulous movers I have encountered in over 15 moves. On August 28 2026, packers, Joseph, Bobby and Ann came and packed up my belongings. On August 29, Joseph came back with Adam and Geraldo(and I’m so sorry I could have the name wrong 😑) and moved my things to the truck. Everything went smoothly and very friendly crew. No complaints at all. I’ll be anxious for my belongings to arrive in New Jersey and the process of unpacking to begin. Thank you for your thorough assistance. Jeannie York

The team that loaded up my goods for my interstate move were wonderful. Driver Cliff, Rick, Johny, Jesse, and Big Bob were professional, friendly, and efficient. All my goods were handled with care. The group worked together extremely well to get everything from my 3 bedroom home loaded up in less than half a day.
