If I could give them a zero I would. I received a quote from the call center for 400 then was sent a quote by curt Wikard who is apparently the owner of the franchise. I know because he was clear when he informed me that the person who gave me the quote was a minimum wage employee who’s never done a move in their life and he does 600 a year so he knows what he’s talking about. He claims that I changed my quote which I didn’t I told the woman who did the initial quote that I had a sectional couch .

I utilized College Hunks solely for loading. Curt communicated well and was incredibly professional and kind during move day; however the load was not secured properly and resulted in damage to several of my belongings. As recommended, I provided plastic wrap, sheets/blankets, and ratchet straps. Boxes were stacked to the ceiling of the truck, and only one ratchet strap was used to secure the main load. They stated this is how they load all of their moves.
If I could give them zero stars, I absolutely would… I originally called for a quote and was told it would be a little over $1,000 for one truck and two movers, plus a non‑refundable $99 deposit. I explained roughly how much big furniture I had and gave an estimate of boxes. I thought I was paying for the truck, movers, and gas — not being charged by the amount of my belongings.
They gave a decent quote on the phone, then took a deposit and scheduled an in person estimate. At the in person estimate they increased the price by over 1k and said they had to change the move date. Obviously we weren't happy about that and decided to look elsewhere, so we asked for the deposit back. They refused.

Value for the service and the communication of quote policy on site was not a good customer experience. The staff was prompt and picked up ~3 hours after request, however failed to communicate the option to turn down the service once on site.

Amanda, we appreciate every review we receive. We are sorry we were not able to meet your expectations. These included packing your apartment, driving to your new apartment, and unloading on the 6th floor, while trying to accommodate your 2-hour maximum budget.
There was no price transparency on the actual cost. I had one sofa and when booking it appeared to be ~$99. When they arrived they said it would be $176. I couldn’t wait another day so I paid it. Would not recommend.
