Don’t recommend them. Slow as molasses. They said they would send 3 men but only 2 showed up. My move took 11 hours instead of 6. I had to call the manager several times to tell his men to speed it up. Half way through the move, another guy showed up but it still took 11 hours. Because the move was much longer than what I was bid, the price went up. Their movers put together my platform bed incorrectly. The boards do not line up.

Stay away from this company. They are bait and switch movers who give you a reasonable quote and then end up taking double the time/money. We were quoted that our move would take 4 hours and require 2 people, which was similar to how long this move had taken us a few years ago with the same inventory but different company. However, this move ended up taking 7 hours and requiring 3 movers by the end. The cost ended up being more than double from what we had been quoted.

If I could give zero stars, I would—solely due to the company's poor management. My experience was incredibly disappointing, as I was misled and ultimately taken advantage of. I was promised a resolution regarding an issue with my move, yet despite following up consistently for months, I never received any response. I genuinely hate writing bad reviews but I have to here. Do not hire this company There was a clear breakdown in knowledge and communication between the people who quoted the job and those on the ground. We had given an accurate manifest of our belongings including sofa hoists, description of environment, stops, and packed materials. College Hunks had 3 guys show up who had never hoisted anything, were woefully undermanned for the job.

I hired College Hunks on June 12th to assist in specifically moving a large China cabinet, along with a few smaller furniture items if time permitted, into a moving truck for our military PCS move from Massachusetts to Virginia. Got a phone quote for a local move. When we received the quote, the information contained was incorrect. Called back to let them know that some of the information was wrong. It was suggested an in person estimate be done. I was given a window between 2 and 4 pm. I left work early so I can be there in time. At 3:30 PM, after not hearing anything, I called the main number.

Deceptive pricing practices. I scheduled a washer/dryer removal and had a call with someone from the company for a quote. He gave me a quote that was comparable to other companies I called and was able to pick up the next day. I confirmed the price 2x with him and confirmed that it would be placed in the notes for the day of removal. 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time, I got a call that then quoted a price was actually $100 more than originally stated.
