I have lived in Sarasota for 17 years and have never had a worse experience with a company! I used them for local move and storage and can only say BEWARE!! Not only were items lost and damaged, but it has been 3 months since my move and they have not processed my claim of over $2000 in missing lost items (which I paid $165 extra for the replacement insurance). John Savage and David, both owners have not returned my emails and voicemails to resolve my claim.
I have moved many times and was never treated as badly as this company treated me. There was no communication in this company, the movers didn’t know I was going into storage at their facility, they brought a truck to deliver my things right away to my vacant lot! I was lost on their delivery schedule after talking to two different people on my move in date. So I had to wait another 3 days for my delivery. They got lost because they wouldn’t take the time to call me so were hours late.
This is an absolute scam. I needed simple move from one apartment to a garage a couple miles away. Everything in the apartment was boxed up, organized and just simply needed to be loaded on. I spoke to a guy named John Savage days prior to the move. He said that rate was $100/hr + $50 for the truck fee for two guys. This was a simply job that should've taken no more than two hours. A few mattresses needed to be wrapped up, which he said wasn't a problem, and then everything should just be loaded up.
The move was originally set up by Matthew's mother. She was told the rate per hour for 2 men, and that we have a 4-hour minimum, 3-hour labor plus an hour travel. In addition, she was told about the 5% fuel surcharge.
Horrible experience and unfortunately it is continuing a month after my move. Multiple boxes were lost and items damaged. The driver would not unload the truck at my new home until I paid up front for the move. Then we noted that there were missing boxes and damaged items because I had paid extra for the replacement cost insurance. I have made over 10 calls to this company speaking with the office manager and both owners Don and John as well as submitted my claim to them.
Very disappointed with this local company. My daughter paid for me to have my things moved out of state. Being alone and having just suffered from a stroke and needing a trustworthy company we thought I was in good hands. Not the case, my belongings arrived with missing bookcase pieces, cord fan cut, and dresser mirror shattered.
Davi and Valenti moved my belongings on 27 April and delivered to my new address on 29 April 2019. The loaders dropped my 2 piece Craftsman tool chest twice during the move. Once at the old address and once at the new address. The chest is severely bent to the point that I cannot open the drawers in either the top or bottom section. I paid for replacement cost insurance with a $300 deductible. The replacement cost of my tool chest is over $600.
Mr. Suman has it legitimate right to complain. His toolbox was damaged and he should've been Compensated for it, for any cost over and above the deductible. However, the ownership a Florida Professional Movers refused to compensate him.
Absolutely terrible! Stay Far Away from this company my simple 20 mile move turned into a nightmare resulting in 3/4 of my furniture being destroyed. Please Note: The Keller Williams Realty Insurance Policy of 75k they offer for homes sold by Keller Williams is a total scam. I have spent the past two and a half months getting the run around from the New Owners of Davi & Valenti John Savage and Don Scheib (Owners Since June 2016) and the Claims Managers at Stevens Worldwide Van Lines due to know one waiting to take…
We acknowledge the damage and are anxious to repair it. However, Mr. McCormick initially refused to have the furniture repaired, requesting it all be replaced. We attempted to schedule a survey of the damage shortly after delivery, and Mr. McCormick refused.
I've moved many times. This was by FAR the worst experience ever. I paid extra for special packaging of my glassware, glass tables and tvs. They broke one TV and refuse to accept the claim for full replacement costs. I paid for full replacement and didn't appreciate first that they tried to ignore the claim and then later they wanted to haggle over the amount. I paid $899 for the TV 2 years before. I found a similar TV for $598 and would have accepted that.
The crew did a great job for the client and were helping him by installing the feet onto a TV that was previously mounted on a wall in the customers old home. Customer gave the crew the feet and screws to install. The screws were incorrect as they were too long and caused damage to his TV.

My husband and I bought a sleeper sofa from a lady on Marketplace and thought we could move it ourselves but it was way too heavy. My husband just retired and we moved to Bradenton from Iowa so we had no idea who to call to get pricing on a little job like 1 couch. I called them first since they were close to us in Lakewood Ranch and they were so kind and had the couch bubble wrapped, legs off the couch and delivered to our home within an hour.

Very impressed with the services received from Davi & Valenti Movers. Our initial contact with John gave us a very good idea of price and work schedule. Good communication throughout the process. Kenny and his crew were exceptional people. They were friendly, efficient and extremely hard-working. I have moved many times over the years. both local and long distance. I was completely satisfied with Davi and Valenti movers. they were always on time and have very fair prices. the men who did the load and unload showed were on time, neatly dressed and professional. William and Tim were all business. they loaded the truck without breaks and turned down my offer to buy lunch. th on the they followed us to our new house and repeated their performance on the offload.they took beds apart and put them backtogether.
