In their own words
I have waited 7 months for Palermo moving to address our issues. They have made it clear that they will not be addressing any of them. They quoted my mother just over $3000 for the packing and moving to her new home approximately 8 miles away. They arrived to pack the day before and never said anything about a change in the quote. They arrived the next day, loaded the truck, moved everything to the new place and unloaded the truck.
When things go wrong, they can go horribly wrong! The fourth time we hired J. Palermo Moving & Storage was the worst decision we may have ever made. They had done a good job on earlier moves, but this time we were scammed, we were lied to, we were duped and we have no recourse except to advise any reader of this review to be very, very certain that the contract says exactly what you want it to say, and everything that might seem obvious is stated clearly.
scratched refrigerator and broken $100 light that they put in the garage and i di not see at the time, he did pay to have the refrigerator fixed, his guys had very little experience in moving plus 2 guys to move 3 bed 1900 sf house not good, plus they were going to lift a riding lawn mower into the truck because the ramp was to small what a joke that was i stoped that from happening , nice guy but his guys are not movers, i must of got the bad crew.
We are surprised that you were not satisfied with the move we provided back on April 12th when we quoted a 2nd move for you. We did waive your insurance valuation and covered the repair to your refrigerator door.

The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

Very pleased with services. Joe personally came over to do estimate for my long distance move. He gave me a very fair price and emailed an itemized lists of things listed with full breakdown of all cost. His staff is very enthusiastic and reassured me my items were packed properly and would arrive without damage. My furniture arrived as promise on time and without damage. Clarence and Jamie reassembled furniture in a timely matter and made sure our furniture was placed where we wanted.

This is the 2nd time I have hired J Palermo Movers in Sarasota, FL. Joe is very detail oriented and organized person. He helped me find a storage facility when his company storage facility was at full capacity. Joe was able to guide me what size storage unit I would need for my home. His estimate was detailed and right on target with quoting the moving job. This recent move I had Jeremy, Jaime and James as my movers.
