I used Encore for moving a piano across town and experienced multiple delays, resulting in the actual delivery being 5 days after expected (I hope, delivery hasn't occurred yet). I first messaged the company several days before the expected move, providing the date, addresses and phone numbers for both pick-up and delivery. This was confirmed, but nobody called me the day before to provide a pick-up time window. The day of, I called and was told that I was actually not put onto the schedule for that day.
I scheduled a piano move with Encore several weeks in advance. A night before the moving date, they left me a voicemail: "there is an emergency with one of our movers we are canceling the move for tomorrow ". …

Great piano moving service. We recently moved our grand piano and the two movers were very friendly and professional. They did it quick but carefully. Only thing that could be improved is their time slot communication: You get a 3 hour window on the day of moving, so you need to be ready at 8am but you might get a window that's 2pm-5pm. Getting a slot on the day before would be less stressful. Edit: The 3 hour window is given 1 day in advance, except on Mondays. Thanks for the clarification.
Lars, thank you for your honest review. We love positive feedback and criticism. As for time slots, we are closed over the weekend so if a customer books for a Monday we cannot provide a time window until that morning.
I am very happy with the service from Encore Piano and Organ Moving. They informed me by call for exact delivery date and time. Piano was wrapped and protected very well. They moved it in very professional and carefully. During this special pandemic, they keep their face masks and gloves all the time. Less contact for social distancing. I’d like to give this company more credits as I can. It’s trusty and you will be satisfied. Thank you for your hard work and hope everything goes well.
Encore moved an antique grand piano (102 years old) from a family home in Santa Barbara to our retirement home in the hills above Watsonville. They were very efficient, careful, right on time,and we thought the price was very reasonable. They were recommended to us by a friend who restores old pianos. Great job.
