DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY! I rarely write negative reviews, but people deserve to know what happened to my mom. My mom is a senior who hired GetMovers expecting her belongings to be handled with care. Instead, I watched the movers repeatedly try to force her solid oak dining table through a doorway. We suggested multiple times that they simply remove the legs, but they refused. They continued trying to jam it through the door until the table was badly scratched.
Website says approx $80 an hour. The lady on the phone quoted me over $400 for a job that didn't require a truck or a driver. Just from my garage to the basement. Even with the extra fee for summer I have no idea how they got to over 400 for a move that would take less than 2 hours. Very disappointed in whoever I spoke to.
The company charges a flat rate of $537 plus tax for 3 hours of service, regardless of how long the move actually takes. I moved into a 1-Bedroom apartment and it barely took 1.5 hours. The movers did the work but didn't seem to understand certain requests or directions they were given. The company did not send any confirmation email, the movers were an hour late with no communication about said tardiness, and I was not sent a receipt upon completion of the service.
If I could give this company 0 stars I would. My partner and I just moved to Whitby, ON and chose this company based off reviews and their ability to allow us to hire just man power to unload our truck. Not only has the customer service …

I also had a few additional items that weren't included in my original inventory. Instead of turning that into a hassle, they explained the adjustment clearly and kept the extra cost reasonable. Good communication, careful handling, and fair pricing made this a very stress free experience. I'd definitely recommend GetMovers to anyone planning a move in Whitby.
I researched several local moving companies but opted to go with GetMovers.They responded quickly after I submitted my move request and helped me select the right moving service based on the amount I needed to move.The 3 movers showed up on time and moved everything efficiently.All three were professional and top-notch.
Amazing quality service. These are the best movers I've ever hired. They were super professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I wanted movers who could take care of all the difficult parts without me needing to lift a figure or use my mental energy. That means they took care of disassembling, packing, and reassembling my bed frame without any guidance from me. Same goes with my couch, mounted TV, And TV stand. Everything was professionally packed and I didn't have to worry about anything.
I didn't actually end up booking GetMovers, but I still felt they deserved a review.I called to ask about moving, storage, and furniture assembly for my upcoming 1 bedroom apartment move. Tom took the time to walk through my situation, answered every question honestly, and even explained a few options that would work better for me instead of trying to sell me a service I didn't need.That kind of honesty really stood out. Even though the timing didn't work out this time, the conversation left a great impression.
