We’ve had several experiences with Half Price Movers that were okay. Our family is nuts and has moved storage units/houses several times in the last several years because they can’t decide what they want, but my personal last experience wasn’t great with several items damaged and snark from one of the movers when my boyfriend gave a $50 tip to each for two and half hours of work and I gave them ice cold electrolytes to drink. The guy didn’t know we heard him, but he described him as cheap.
Katherine, I'm very sorry to hear about your recent experiences; what you describe is unacceptable and not the level of service we aim to provide. We take reports of damaged items, disrespectful remarks about tips, and employees appearing under the influence extremely seriously.
My overall experience with 1/2 price movers was poor. they charge with an hourly rate. My final price was much higher than quoted and the lady I spoke with when I initially called to get a quote said they was pretty sure it wouldn't be more than the quoted price. It ended up being $130 more than originally quoted. Also the movers did a poor job. There are scratches and dents on many walls. Even on walls where there is plenty of room to move furniture.

The two young men did a good job of moving my furniture but my box of DVDs came up missing. It was all my kids movies. I called they said they dony have them. I know i dont have them.

Very upsetting, we moved items from another city in a 26 foot truck and everything was just put into our temp address garage. This company brought the same size truck and the workers packed the truck poorly so they were not able to put the same items in the same size truck. They refused to move my toolbox with the tools in it because they said it would be too heavy and made my wife empty it out.

Very poor experience with Justin; lack of integrity and professionalism regarding a USPS package I took in to be shipped. After requesting a simple return label to be printed out and placed on my package and shipped out ONE MONTH AGO TODAY, I found out my package never left there and was never picked up by USPS at all. (NOTE: my package contained a special car emblem.) I was never given a receipt at Half Price Movers and was just told, oh, your package will go out later today. It never did get shipped.

I just called to see about hiring for loading the truck only. I have used loaders many times by going through uhaul. These guys just quoted $190 for the first hour and $100 for each additional hour. Everytime I have hired before from another company I paid for 2 movers $100/2 hour total. These guys should be called double priced movers. Time to find help through uhaul again. This company is way over priced for loading help.

Very expensive 700.00 for 2 hours they charge for everything.... also per steps if there stairs in the home ...RIP OFF ....ALL MOVING COMPANIES ARE RIP OFFS ....
Hello Richard. I’m unsure where you received this information. We have a 2 hour minimum of $300-$350 depending on the day for local moving and we don’t have any additional fees including for stairs.

The movers were very very patient and kind with us moving my father in law and they were very thorough and the communication was always good throughout the move we would highly recommend the 5 star scale isn't enough!!
