The rating breakdown
3 of the 44 ratings in Google’s published star breakdown for Hansens Moving & Storage are one or two star.
Worked out from 44 ratings. That is enough to publish but few enough that one more review moves it noticeably, so read it as a hint rather than a measurement.
Against other movers in Santa Rosa
5.4 percentage points higher than the middle of the 19 movers in Santa Rosa we can publish a rate for.

What the complaints say

In their own words
It started off good. Typical free estimate, dates confirmed. I then called office manager to confirm dates a few days later and said the one of two dates was taken. I then had to reschedule all my moving dates around this change. Pre packing boxes were dropped off for me to start packing but no wardrobe boxes were included. Called the office manager and she told me they don't send these boxes seperately but were on the truck the day of the move.
The delusional owner thinks if he lies he can cover up his terrible service. This company is terrible and hires terrible team members. They actually deserve zero stars. I have the cancelled check for the so- called services.
We are sorry you were not pleased with the service you received during your move, but your move was not with our company so please remove your rating on our company and give us a call for great service on your next move.
What satisfied customers point to
The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

In their own words
We are so glad that we chose Hansen's Moving for our mom. She moved from a 3 bedroom 2 bath house with 2 car garage in Roseville down to a single bedroom apartment in Santa Rosa. They showed up right on time, were friendly, courteous, and *amazing*. They protected all her furniture, moved each item with care as well as speed. She was moved in by 4 that afternoon. On the way to Santa Rosa Gregg and Gregg Jr. called another worker to come help unload and he was just as wonderful as the Greggs.
Greg was super responsive, came by and looked at what needed to be moved and gave a true, accurate and reasonable estimate, which beat out his competitors. We hired him on the spot. His team, consisting of Ricky, Lorenzo and Jimmy showed up on time. They were quick, professional and jovial. They worked as a team and worked extremely well together. This was the best moving experience I’ve ever had. I’d hire Hansen’s again for sure!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear our team provided you with a seamless and enjoyable moving experience. We look forward to helping you with any future moves. Thanks for choosing Hansen’s Moving & Storage!
Hansen's was a phenomenal company to work with! My husband and I just moved from Oregon to Santa Rosa with a full freight truck that we needed help unloading. Anthony and Mark went above and beyond in how kind they were, how efficient and hard they worked, and made us feel so supported throughout the entire process. Greg and Hannah were very quick to follow up when I reached out with an inquiry and accommodated our schedule as to when our freight truck was being delivered.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re so glad Anthony and Mark were able to help make your move to Santa Rosa smooth and stress-free. We truly appreciate your recommendation!
Five-Star Service from Hansen’s Moving! I can’t say enough great things about Hansen’s Moving and their incredible team, Anthony and Jimmy and Greg. From Booking with Greg to getting moved with Anthony and Jimmy, it was all stress -free. They recently helped move my 90-year-old mom from Santa Rosa to Folsom, and the entire process—from loading up to the drive and unpacking—took just under five hours. Anthony and Jimmy were kind, efficient, and extremely careful with everything.
Thank you for the kind words! We’re so glad Greg, Anthony, and Jimmy made the move easy and stress-free. We really appreciate your support and are always here to help!
