In their own words
Absolutely Terrible Experience – Avoid at All Costs Our move from Florida to Minnesota was a complete nightmare due to this company’s appalling service and lack of professionalism. We initially had multiple calls with Randy, who was responsive during the booking process. However, once our items were picked up, he completely disappeared—no returned calls, no support, nothing.
If I could give NEGATIVE stars, I would! Absolutely the worst long-distance moving experience of my life. DO NOT even think about hiring this company. They are not just unprofessional — they are rude, deceptive, and threatening. I literally had to call the COPS to deal with their behavior. My Experience: During vendor selection, they kept calling me nonstop and promised everything politely. I did two video calls to confirm all items in advance. On pickup day, the nightmare began.
Illinois movers seemed like a great fit after my husband spoke with them. They told us that they are one of the only companies who does everything through just them- and that they don’t hire out…lie. They quoted us with all the furniture and boxes over the phone, and when they arrived our quote over doubled, and they said we would have to pay nothing more if we paid this….lie. They told us 2-5 days after pickup, that they work 7 days a week…lie. This morning, a different company and truck show up with our stuff.
Communication after reservation is non existent. Only way you get to them is calling multiple times every day. Their quote is no where close to the real cost. Our things did not arrive for almost 2 weeks past pickup. I would not recommend anyone to use them. I thought using a moving company was going to make things easier and build some convince in our lives, but this was truly a nightmare. I don't what else to say besides an absolute displeasure in working with them.

These people are CROOKS! They kept reaching out to us for more and more money outside of the contract we signed then threatened to not deliver our furniture on the delivery date.stated then we would have to pay a redelivery fee to have it delivered on another day. They have you sign a contract then they don’t honor it AND delivered our items completely damaged!! Our 3 bedroom sets are ruined! And all of our boxes are ripped open and put back together so I have to make sure we have all our belongings.
This has been the move from hell! If I could give 0 stars I would. I booked with them and was not told the truth about the moving quote that I got. I was quoted at 2k and then once the movers came and loaded the truck with the majority of …
In the beginning the sales process was smooth, polite and helpful. After the sale was booked and movers arrived, it was anything but polite. Suddenly, the move was $800 more than estimated and conveniently required a nice round number of …
DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT HIRE ILLINOIS MOVERS!!!!!! I recently moved from Chicago to Los Angeles and hired Illinois Movers. The pickup was easy and I had no problems. However, the drop off was a mess. Illinois Movers hired another moving …
