Terrible experience don’t use them I learned the hard way! Jake came out and gave me an estimate after looking at our house . We chose him because he came in the lowest. They showed up late , sent 4 guys instead of 6 that he told me were coming. ( The moving guys told me 2 guys just quit so that’s all they had). They put boxes haphazardly through the house and out buildings, ( instead of putting them where the box was marked for them to go), damaged floor and walls, took furniture apart and didn’t put it back…

I have been very frustrated with this business. We hired them to move our large items that should have only taken at most 2 and half hours to move. Two out of the three emplyees were great, but the third which was the supervisor kept stalling. Felt like he was purposly making it take longer. The job took 4 hrs which was 2 hours longer than what j was quoted.

I was incredibly disappointed with this service. On the plus side, the movers were all very kind and respectful, and they were able to come out and move my entire household within a week. However, the guys who came out to move us worked at a snails pace. When I moved everything myself 2 months prior, it took me a total of 4 hours. It took Jakes 3 guys 8.5 hours to move only furniture, no boxes.

I hate leaving a 1 star but here goes...Jake is nice on the phone when giving you a quote, Jake is good at this, Jake will give you a comparable bid and then gouge you when it comes time to pay! Jake knows what he is doing, Jake uses an answering service to screen his calls, My bid was $2,000 to $2,500 for my move, My bill was $3600. I have nothing in writing. I believe Jakes crew charged me WAY MORE than the quote! If you decide to try Jakes moving get everything in writing. Will never use again.

We booked Jake's Moving over a month ago as soon as we received the closing date on our new house. Jake went over all the details and said he'd call to confirm everything 7 days prior. We did not receive the promised call and have left 3 messages over the last 4 days, and no one has responded. This morning we were left scrambling to find a new moving company just days before our move, which is not the stress we needed with buying a new house and moving. Would absolutely not recommend.

I got robbed!!! 17.5 hours, a day and half, 3 guys but only 1.5 guys working. 2 trucks and a 15 minute drive to the new house. $6000.00 , yes that's not a misprint. I never even received a invoice after asking for it.
Didn't use Jake's because I got a quote that was 3 times more than other movers Jake is nice when you speak with him but nice is not what I needed, I needed some help moving at a fair price.

Organized, very carefull with all our personal treasures, personable and professional. I especially liked and appreciate the tote rental. What a great business model.
