There is too much to write about how poor my experience was with my recent move, but I do not want to waste too much more of my time to write the entire thing. Ill try to summarize. I hired them based of of great reviews, but I got anything but that. I had 4 movers who didn't move much. I moved most of my stuff out of my apartment and was running in and out hustling along. At one point one of the movers literally brought 1, yes 1, small lamp shade up from downstairs.
Very unhappy with our experience with John & Sons. We were quoted at a price that was HALF of what we actually ended up paying. This company showed up late and added additional fees for more men and another truck. This company added stress to an already hectic moving day. It’s a shame we had such a poor experience.
Damaged our walls in our home moving a fridge. Chipped the dry wall down to the metal stud and left dry wall shavings and chippings all over the floor. We made them aware of it in the moment to which they said “it was a tight space. I don’t know what you want us to do.” Then we called to complain and had the audacity to claim that the damage was already there and the dry wall chips and shavings were there before.

Very disappointed in this moving company. I have used them before without any issues. This last move was awful as it was not Jay and his team but the owner Dwayne. He got every hour he could to move minimal stuff and damaged a big screen TV that was supposed to be replaced within a week. It is almost three months and the TV has not been replaced. I will not recommend this company for any move, small or large. Careless with items and nothing but a headache. Sooo disappointed.

After first contact, he came back with a totally different attitude and price and added another mover, totalling 4 guys for a 1 bedroom apartment, which only has furniture and no boxes, no appliances and no packing needed, and1 hour travel time. Not good.

Amazing and quick work!! Go to movers from now on in SJ. My family was in a pinch and we had to get several big items moved very quickly. One item, which was an upright grand piano, had much sentimental value as it was my husband’s late grandmother’s. Jamil and his crew came on time, they wrapped the piano, and handled it and everything with care. Then they helped us move all our items to a storage unit!! I couldn’t be happier with their service. They’ve made an eternal customer out of me and my family.
We do our best to accommodate emergency situations. In this case we were able to and thank you for leaving us a review.
Best Moving company in the area!!!! Last move was a Nightmare! Dwayne and his professional crew made a nightmare of a move, easy! I ask So Grateful for them. They are Amazing at communication, scheduling, paperwork, payments, NO HIDDEN FEES, disassembling and reassembling, setting the house Up in perfect order! I called John and Sons to get a price for moving a desk and some furniture from my second floor to the first floor. Spoke with Skyler who was as helpful as can be, provided a reasonable fee and was terrific at communicating throughout the entire process. The gentlemen who came out were prompt, professional, and incredibly courteous. I will definitely use John and Sons for any future moving needs and recommendation you do as well.

Company made moving a breeze at an affordable price. Moved me into my first Apartment, and staff took care of disassembly and reassembly of furniture ,while handling all items with care and professionalism. Will be keeping them as a resource for future moves and would definitely recommend to others.
