What are some red flags when choosing a moving company. When choosing a moving company, be wary of certain red flags that could indicate a scam or an unprofessional business. Dishonest movers often use tactics to lure you in with a low price, then hold your belongings hostage for more money or provide subpar service. ® 💯 I thought I would use this company. In response to below (edit): That is libel. There was never a "panic attack". I explained that I have a lung condition and needed the chair in the back bedroom. They kept moving boxes as I was having an attack. I aske them to stop, tobasically hold off on the entire move and to cancel it all. I didn't know it would be that bad but when I asked them to "stop", they should have stopped. I never gave them permission to even keep on going until they pressured me. I had no say in the matter.

Job was NOT done but the guys kept rushing and told my girl that they couldn't work overtime, when the owner had said we would. I told them it was fine to leave because I heard the 2 guys say they "wanted to go home" and asked their supervisor to wrap things up. In their defense, it was very hot. I moved just as much as they did while they were there and I can say it was 90+ degrees that day. But my girl asked them if they needed a break from heat to just sit there and take a break in the air conditioning.

I spoke with Terri before my move to ensure that everything would be set up properly before my move on 08/26/17. I indicated that I wanted 2 movers and that I wanted them to arrive to my home at 8a. Terri insisted that I have 3 movers so that I would have everything moved in within 2 hours. The movers arrived 30 minutes late they did not call to indicate that they were running late. There's no one to speak to at the office at all.
Leaves damage to other people's property and does not even bother to tell them and acts like nothing happened. Wires left after they knock them down and act like they did nothing.Awful company. Not to mention workers peeing on the property while they work also and not wearing masks during a pandemic.
I’m giving this company one star because they advertise “no hidden fees,” yet my final bill tells a very different story. I was originally quoted between $1,130 and $1,220, but ended up paying over $1,500. Even the transportation cost alone exceeded what I was quoted, which feels misleading and untrustworthy. On top of that, I am missing a gold lamp from my move, which is extremely frustrating.

I would give no stars if possible. Do NOT use this company. We used them to load Upack cubes. They had no regard or respect for my items whatsoever. They damaged MANY pieces of antique furniture and other items carefully packed inside boxes …
In regards to your 1 star review. Payless Moving Inc. loads a pod with proper tie downs and blankets /pads which the customer provides as we can not leave our moving blankets in your pod as well as use shrink wrap.

The team at Payless helped me move twice over the period of 3 years. This business was recommended to me by a local BNI group. Each time, this team worked tirelessly, professionally and like a well-oiled machine. I moved from a 3-story town house to a 3rd & 4th floor apartment and when I say this was the hardest work I’ve ever witnessed- I mean it in all sincerity. My team of 5, Dom, Mojo, Jojo, (and two others I cannot remember their names!- one of which was the foreman) were all spectacular.

We had an excellent experience with Payless Movers for our recent long-distance move from New Jersey to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Moving from a 5,000 sq. ft. home, including a piano, could have been overwhelming, but the Payless Movers team made the entire process smooth and organized. I recently bought a large, heavy (370lb) gun safe. After a failed attempted to get it up a flight of steps to our 2nd floor, I posted in our town page on Facebook looking for someone experienced in getting this moved. Within an hour or so Joe & Rob commented on my post looking for pictures and more details. I messaged them with all the info. They showed up within an hour (keep in mind its 7:15pm on a Sunday night). It took them 10 minutes to get the safe up the steps with no casualties! Very impressed.
