So if this was just for the movers, I would give 5 stars. However, I am rating 2 stars due to my interaction with the phone representative. I called 1.5 weeks in advance to set up my appointment. Given the nature of where my apartment is located, I was told that it would be 200/ hour. Though I am on a budget, I understood and said it would be fine. I told the lady on the phone that I only had a few large items that needed moving. At NO POINT during the conversation was I told that there was a two hour minimum.
I hate to write a negative review but I called to talk to the owner and didn’t get a call back! Our moving experience wasn’t good! The movers were 3 hours late, complained for the first 2 hours about having to do another move that day when the other crew only had to do one, which explains I guess why they were so late! They were extremely rough and lack knowledge on how to properly move a piece of furniture for instance they would drag a wood piece on the cement instead of lifting it!
They were 15-30 minutes late then when they arrived they all smelled like they had just smoked a pound or more of weed. Once they packed all my stuff in the truck I had to wait at least 30 minutes for them to make it to the storage building because they had to stop and get drinks. Only one guy I think his name was John was moving the items into the storage mind you me and another family member had to help him gather the things into the storage because the other two guys was sitting on the truck doing God knows…
I called and set an appointment to have an upright piano moved two weeks before the moving date. The owner said I was under quoted at $185 and now wanted $300 less then 24 hours before. The lack of professionalism by this company is astonishing, and it clearly happens consistently if you go through and see the reviews.
Beware they will only call you about payment issues when you have questions they will give you the run around and will have to call 40 times to get a simple answer this is the worst company I have moved with try your luck somewhere else

David, the new owner, came highly recommended by a friend. We managed to change the move date easily due to inclement weather. He was on time; his crew were tardy but we were not penalized for their delay. The team were friendly, respectful, efficient, and fast. They made my storage room move a breeze. I highly recommend them!
I have never used a moving service before but it was a great experience with Johnson’s. Jodie accommodated my cancelation request and helped me reschedule to another day that fit my schedule better. Day of moving: three movers showed up exactly at the time discussed so I appreciate the punctuality. They got to work right away, disassembled/assembled the couch and bed frame so that was convenient. Everything survived. 5 stars for communication, work ethic and punctuality. Thank you Jodie and team!
The movers, Billy and his team were so pleasant to work with. They stayed busy with their job, assisted with other things that needed help with. My family was so impressed, not easy to do. The team were aware of not scratching the walls, floors, furniture. We are grateful to everyone at Johnson Moving and Storage. Thank you Kelly for being so polite in scheduling the move.
If I could give 6 stars, I would. When I first called I spoke to Bobbie. She was very polite and informative. On the day of the move, the movers showed up early and went to work promptly. They had a very good attitude. Handled my furniture with care. If you are looking for a moving company, this is the one. I will be using them again. 6 STARS!
