Used Local Moves in Lapeer. They were referred by a family member plus they had good reviews so I was happy to hire them. Had issues from start to finish. Spoke with owner Scott repeatedly during the move but got the blame game and comments that he was "losing money on this job" due to unplanned expenses racked up by his driver (he kept driving on the snow covered lawn instead of the driveway, getting stuck several times and having to call a tow truck).

Never again, never put my dresser mirror back on and didnt account for my 100 dollar deposit. Over charged for a 2 block move. One young guy complained he wasn't paid enough. Horrible customer service. This company blocked my phone number. I am still in the process of legal process
Linda, we removed the deposit from the balance as we always do. The men worked hard all day and I came out myself and worked for free for 2 hours. We went above and beyond for you. You never intended on paying.
The movers were on time and worked quickly. We had a huge amount of boxes. At one point we were told we may have to have another truck the following week. But later, we were told it looked like everything would fit. From the start we told them the only thing that was leaving the garage was the refrigerator. So when the movers started taking boxes out of the garage, we assumed the boxes and other items in the basement had been put on the truck.

Very fast, efficient and friendly. Doug and his crew, Val and Dom were great. Great communication with us. They placed great care in our furniture and placed everything where we wanted it. Price was very reasonable for a local move.

Of course it was a 97 degree day when I had to move, however, Local Moves did such a great job! The 2 guys were very efficient, were careful with my items, and even had to take some things apart & put them back together to get them through …
Its not ideal, but people need to move whether it's 19 degrees or 90. Glad we could help Linda!
Doug and his team did a superb job moving all of our furniture, and we had alot!! They were on time, polite, and handled our items with care. Would definitely hire them again in the future!

Doug and Adrian helped me move this morning and they did a fantastic job. They are great guys and incredibly hard workers. They were very efficient, got everything moved in a timely manner, and handled my belongings with care. I highly recommend them and would definitely hire them again!
