Let me start by saying. I wish I could give 1/4 star just for showing up. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! They are thieves. I had a few items I saw in the truck and disappeared and NEVER showed Up. Called 20x and owner is obnoxious and could care less. Also tried charging me 2,000 over estimate for there miss accounting of belongings. Also several items were damaged including. Grand piano,Dimplex fireplace(which disappeared),mirrors,statue,pots and numerous other items. Heed my warning. Go elsewhere.
Mark the sales manager gave me a quick quote and then never bothered to respond to my call or email. Sales does not have time for questions apparently. It took one guy an hour to take a day bed apart. They used the bathroom multiple times during the hour one actually was in there for about ten minutes..they complained about the weight of the items..didn't bring boxes for lamps and somewhere between my old place and the new place they stopped to do someone a favor!!!
We had used Lowys in a prior move 7 years ago without incident so, used them again this time with the addition of a months storage at their facility. Again, a local move to Oceanport. NOT the same experience! Chunks of wood damaged in out master sleigh bed, but the worst was the dark soot like patterns and lines over all our cream colored sofa, loveseat and arm chairs.
I used their storage service: I had a climate controlled storage unit with a baby grand piano inside. It was damaged. upon calling, the person I spoke to admitted they store all their pianos on their side and arrogantly informed me this was standard procedure for them as if it was no problem. I encourage anyone to google for themselves the proper handling of a piano. BEWARE they have zero clue how gravity works and make it very clear they could care less.
Horrible. Don't use. The amount of damage they caused to our client's furniture and other items is incomprehensible. It's as if they didn't even try to be careful. Unfortunately, if you don't buy their insurance, you'll be out of luck. They aren't even trying to make things right for our client who is now going to have to spend thousands to replace or repair broken items that we just got for her. Unbelievable.
Lowy's Moving Service was the worst moving company we've ever used and I would not recommend them. They forgot to bring tools to put our beds and furniture together and refused to come back to finish unless we paid them more money. Additionally, they dropped and broke an expensive coffee table and only offered $250, claiming it was our fault b/c we didn't read their fine print.
Do not use their moving company. They will break your stuff!! I have had several family members and friends use their company and had very expensive items damaged while moving.... and they did nothing to make up for the damages. Beware. There are many other reputable companies out there that are better than this.
I had this company move me to a storage unit in September. 4 black men came to do the move. I hired another company to take me to my final destination because I was not happy with Lowys professionalism. Now in my new home I have unpacked my …

Lindsay in the office, the warehouse manager and the crew who arrived to move us were all friendly, courteous and helpful. They were, as a group, committed to making our move experience a good one.
