All My Sons Moving & Storage

This was one of the worst experiences of my life. Not just the worst move I’ve ever had, but one of the worst customer service experiences imaginable. The amount of valuables, family heirlooms, and furniture they damaged is staggering, much of it irreplaceable. Before the move even began, communication was a disaster. I was promised a moving coordinator would contact me a week beforehand. They never did.

I cannot express how disappointed and frustrated I am with my experience. This was, without question, one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I paid nearly $7,000 for what I expected to be stress-free cross-country move. Instead, I was met with incompetence, poor communication, damaged belongings, MISSING BELONGINGS, and a complete lack of care for my property. To make matters worse, I was charged for items that I didn’t even own.

My furniture was held hostage by my movers. They demanded that I go to the bank and give them each large amounts of cash or else they were going to increase the cost of the move to an astronomical amount. As a single mother, I didn’t feel safe. I gave them what they wanted. I will never use any moving company again. Rather just sell everything and buy new.

I booked a move with All My Sons Moving & Storage while my husband is deployed in Iraq, so I was handling the entire move on my own. This was my first time hiring a moving company, and unfortunately, it was an extremely disappointing experience. When I first called for a quote, I spent over 30 minutes on the phone explaining every detail of my move. I clearly stated that the move involved three locations: a two-bedroom apartment, a storage unit, and my new home.

We had a terrible experience with All My Sons Moving and would not recommend them. We paid nearly $5,000 for packing and moving services. Before the move, we completed a full video walkthrough of our home with the company, and they scheduled a full day with two trucks for our move. When the movers arrived, we were told that one of the trucks had broken down on the way. We were also told the packers would be arriving shortly by Uber.

The only thing good about All my sons was their availability over the phone and customer service, as well as one of the movers, Allan. Even then, they misquoted the move and told the movers that it was a one bedroom house that would take less then three hours—it was a three bedroom house and the move took 9 hours… Our experience was awful. Out of the three men sent, only one (Allan) was helpful, nice, smart, and overall great.

Pictures say it all! After a long day of moving, we checked all our furniture. I had them moved my antique curio. The movers must had to pry open the second shelf - for some reason - as the second shelf was embedded in the curio with antique nails. We couldn’t even place the second shelf back on! The curio is from the 20s. The side of the curio has been chipped and it’s fresh chipped marking as you can see in the pictures. They LOST the key to the curio! In addition, I told them where to move the curio.

We had an absolute horrible experience with this company. Our moving coordinator was absolutely unhelpful, and failed to contact us about anything. The moving date was changed, and we were not informed at all until the day before our flight was scheduled; the only reason we were informed is because we had to contact our coordinator, Jacob Graff, and we were ignored for several days.
