If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with Major Moving was hands-down the worst and most stressful moving situation I’ve ever encountered. I booked a move from Leesburg, VA to Elkton, MD for April 10. I paid the deposit on March 27 and the remaining balance on April 2. Unfortunately, everything went downhill immediately after they received my money. Communication was almost nonexistent.
Horrible! Major Moving (Leesburg) totaled the moving truck during our move. The majority of furniture was damaged beyond repair, when it was finally delivered many days later. They have not provided information about the insurance company that they should have, nor provided any information about how they plan to resolve this issue. This was "fishy" from the start.
I scheduled a move a week out. They scheduled me for the wrong date, and could not re-schedule a move that day. I called other movers looking for a same day move and got 2 quotes within an hour. I presume their service is good, but they really need better scheduling, or to not book so tightly that you're just out of luck if they put the wrong date in. I'd recommend you get a receipt from them with the exact date and time you booked for, so you can verify it's correct.
Do not give your money to this scam company. They will take your deposit, then the day before the move they will tell you their truck broke down. Then they won’t give your money back and they won’t answer their phone or emails. Total scam. Robbed me of $1140 that I will never get back.
Sir, you called us and stated that you couldn't pay until a later date, we proceeded to schedule your move in good faith anyways. There was an issue with the truck that day, which caused us to be late (truck had a flat tire). You then changed your mind and hired friends to move you.

Matt the owner was outstanding!!!! And his partner that helped me and my husband move! He really helped me out in a huge time of need! And worked around my schedule,he made everything a smooth move and was so friendly made me feel like I was talking with family! They are professional, punctual, on time, very nice! Also we had some bad weather when we actually got to our destination and they continueed to work so hard! They are the real deal!

Major moving was awesome. They were the lowest of 5 quotes we got, and they use a flat rate instead of adding up hours. Fast, friendly, efficient, hard working. Can't recommend these guys enough and will be using them again next time without a doubt.
