Morrows Moving & Storage

I too found myself in a difficult situation with this company. The service provided was long & drawn out, taking 2 days to move my furniture & effects 15km. They arrived late...had to have a smoke break before starting. Took almost the whole day to load up things from the garage, so when they got into the house to load up the day was already gone. Arriving late to my new residence, I knew they were tired, but they insisted on unloading.

**Added Update September 10, 2022** I would NEVER recommend Morrows Chilliwack. 1. Morrows Chilliwack charged me almost two thousand dollars over the quoted price. 2. Morrows Chilliwack did not keep the timeline they gave. Our items were almost a week later than latest date they promised. Morrows Chilliwack provided no communication or assurance once our items were in there care. I called to follow up on the timeline for delivery, and was told I would get 24 hours notice when the truck was coming.

Definitley would not recommend . How they are voted #2 in Chwk is beyond me. The 2 guys were so slow , and took so long. I unloaded all of the boxes from them at the new house to save time and they still took over 3 hours longer than the quoted time ( my move cost 977.00) The 2 men argued with each other and were very unprofessional. They blamed us for it taking so long and they broke my China cabinet glass and then said it wasn’t their fault. We are missing a few boxes too that no one has even acknowledged.

Kevin was very reluctant to provide me a quote in writing. My storage unit was loaded by Morrow employees so they should have been able to provide an accurate estimation of the weight of the contents which my quote was based on. Four months later they loaded my belongings from that storage unit to bring to the city I was now in. Once the items were loaded and weighed I was told by the driver the cost would be $1500 more than quoted and I had no choice but the pay the extra since my belongings where on their truck.

The only star possible related to their punctuality. They showed up on time and delivered on time. The interim process was terrible. Their charge was 75% above their estimate, (see Stacy Porritt review below), they lost 3 of our boxes, a 24 foot ladder and negligently damaged our furniture. 6 months have past and we are still trying to settle the insurance claim. We believe this entity is just a call centre - beware! Once they have your commitment, (and money) they totally disappear.

Worst moving company ever. Poorly organized. Bad communication. Not setup for large moves or long distance. Moving truck failed on the mountain pass, old outdated equipment. Management fights with staff in front of customers. A LOT of broken items due to poor handling and declined claims. Underestimated our move by $2000. I would never use Morrows ever again. If you want a decent, high quality moving company under the Allied nameplate, use Quality Move Management (QMM).

I hired two personel through morrows moving company in Chilliwack for my move. The company had good reviews and sounded very professional on the phone. However, Upon completion of the loading l found my wallet missing. I assumed that i had misplaced it myself, however I later found the wallet packed and taped up in one of the boxes. The cards and documents were all present, but conveniently over 600$ in cash was missing. I do not recommend this company, due to the dishonesty of at least one of the hired workers.

My elderly parents hired Morrow's for a move from the coast to the interior. The truck arrived at the new location, but no swampers/lifters. They had to ask their grandkids and son-in-law to unload the truck. The driver helped, but dropped a desk, breaking it. Overall a horrible experience for my parents.
