Extremely disappointed with this team. I hired them for an office clean out move. The men who showed up where not prepared and lacked proper equipment. They showed up over a half hour late. One seemed visibly intoxicated. They didn't work together and in the process of moving heavy furniture, damaged several cabinets due to negligent moving and lacking proper equipment.

We were not happy with Mother Lode Van and Storage. First of all we could not get the move date we wanted and when we finally agreed on a move date, they called us and changed it. The movers that loaded our stuff were nice and seemed to do an okay job. When we received our stuff, one of our items, a video game machine was completely damaged. They loaded it incorrectly and there was damaged to all but one side of the machine. There were rips and tears all over the machine.

The labor to move us out of our large house was completely inadequate. They insisted on moving us before we were ready. They took 2 1/2 weeks for the truck to be delivered with our belongings. Many valuables were missing. Then you get directed to North American customer service and they don’t care at all about your issues. I would never recommend using this company.
Very disappointed with Mother Lode Van & Storage. First, Moving Date…. I was never placed on their schedule, so it had to be reschedule. Second, Overtime….I was never told my moving time was 10 hours, any overtime…. like the hour and half, accounting rep said, I am charged an additional $500. UPDATE: They REFUSED to pay for broken items! Items over twenty years old. Out of print, will never be able to get again. These are losers! Stay the f away!!! So many broken pieces found as we unpacked. We had to ask the movers three separate times to wear masks. They simply don’t care for your safety or your items!! Stay away!!

DO NOT use North American Van Lines if you're moving to another state. They hire freelance teams of what I can best describe as poorly-trained and/or incompetent gorillas, who will likely cause extensive damage to your property due to inadequate packing and careless handling.
If you are looking for movers I suggest trying a different company. I just had them do a local move and I would never use them again.

I can't say enough good things about Michael Eden and his crew! We had an interstate move to prepare for at the last minute, and MIchael and his team stepped up to keep everything on track. Michael Eden was terrific. He responded quickly when his moving crew failed to show, due to severe weather. He could round up only one to help. The two of them moved a 2500 square foot home, including a piano, in 11 hours during a break in the weather, working well into the night. They were thus able to avoid relentless torrential rain the next day. AMAZING! Fantastic experience!
