I honestly don't know how Moyer Movers received such excellent reviews. I hired them based on these reviews and had a horrible experience. I have given them a one star rating, because Charna, the Executive Vice President, tried her hardest to make my move go smoothly. I had a challenging move ahead of me. Rude on the phone. Hangs up without etiquette when you deny telling me information. They call from a 703 area code number where many scams originate.
Dr. Don, Moyer takes all reviews seriously, however we do not have you in our data base as being a Moyer & Sons client and Moyer does not have a "703 area code" number to call from. This was not Moyer & Sons Moving & Storage, and if you would like to discuss further please let us know.
During our move from Maryland to Texas these guys managed to damage virtually every piece of furniture we own, despite everything being wrapped and padded. For instance, a bookcase was essentially ruined and the side of an antique writing desk was split down the middle. The reply of the delivery crew was, "Well, you can file a claim." This is beside the point, how do you replace or repair certain antique pieces? Additionally, quite a number of boxes were crushed or partially opened.
Good luck if they break something!!!!!!! We just moved with them and while I will say the movers were hard workers it doesn’t subtract from the fact that they put holes in my brand new house. They scratched the walls, nicked the walls, dinged the walls, and to top it off they BROKE my flatscreen smart tv and didn’t say a WORD about it. No mention of it whatsoever. It wasn’t until the day after when I went to hook everything up that I noticed the entire picture of the tv was cracked inside the glass.

We recently used Moyer & Sons to move us out of our home in Maryland and into a new home in Pennsylvania 3 months later. Moyer stored our belongings during the interim period. We can’t say enough positive things about the entire experience. Communication was excellent throughout, and the movers were wonderful. William and his crew were professional, kind, and respectful, and they took great care in packing the things that were too large, fragile, or cumbersome for us to pack ourselves.

Sarah, the project lead for our move has been wonderful. She’s a moving expert and it shows. We are downsizing. Sarah and her team helped us sort items for donations, auction and trash and then packed it all up and took it to where it needed to go. We still have the final move but Sarah tagged everything with locations/numbers that corresponds with the layout of the apartment we are moving into, which will make the unpack so much more efficient.
