YOU DO NOT WANT TO USE THIS COMPANY!!! Cost my family member over $1100 to move a 2 bedroom apartment!!! They RUINED his mattress and 2 Jerseys came up MISSING OUT OF THR CLOSET after they moved the bed out of the bedroom! The result ... NADA NOTHING ! They offered 60 cents a pound for his mattress that was ruined by water damage in their truck!! So basically offered him maybe $50 or so bucks for his mattress that was only a year old!!!Read the reviews for them on Google!
We're sorry that you weren't satisfied with your family member's experience. Initial feedback from him indicated that the crew was "outstanding and polite" and that he had a great experience. He continued to compliment the crew on the follow-up calls.
Very unprofessional, I was quoted 1400-1700$ for them to pack and move my home after giving a VERY detailed description of what was involved in the move and on the morning of the move after arriving 30 minutes after they were scheduled to arrive I was informed by the grunts that were sent the cost to move our things would be around double what the quote was.
We are truly sorry that you are unhappy with your recent experience with our team. We do our very best to provide each and every customer an accurate and realistic estimate on the scope of work based on information provided to us.
Very disappointed in how our move was handled. All that needed to be moved was two bedroom sets, 2 treadmills, 2 large mirrors, an office desk and a 3 small side tables. The movers took 3 hrs to load and another 3 hrs to unload. Having moved 7 times prior it has never took movers this long to move that little and able to do it with no damage to property.

Well my experience has been AWFUL!!! I had 1 set of antique furniture a dining room set a couple chairs 2 dressers 2 night stands a china cabinet and a small upright piano and 1/4 of a 2 car garage left to move we hired movers because of the piano and decided we would just have them take the rest of the stuff. The guys arrived and we showed them up we had to move they said it was great that we had everything packed and were so prepared.
Hi Angie, we are certainly sorry you feel that way. We had a 5 hour estimate in our system for your job which was simply our best guess based on our phone conversation and reflected in the email that we sent over to you. The total job ended up being billed at 4.5 hours including the travel time.
**EDIT** They can say this is a "fraudulent review" all they want but I've spoken to Duke, Sherry, Levi, Bryan, and MANY others in their office. This place is an absolute nightmare. We had an in-state move a few weeks back. I had to convince my fiance to use a local place rather than a large national company because I always like to help out local businesses. That was a mistake for sure.
*** We believe this to be a fraudulent review. We have no record of this customer or the described job *** We take pride in remedying any situation in which a customer isn't 100% satisfied.
Update: Brian is claiming to have responded and stating he would fix the situation but has failed to response to any of my emails or phone calls. I debated whether to leave a review, but nearly a be month later, the experience is still bothering me enough that I feel it’s important to share. We hired this company for a move from Ohio to Michigan. At the start, the two movers were friendly and professional. We even purchased lunch for them during their break as a gesture of appreciation.

We would give MVM Moving zero stars if possible. They are the most dishonest and unresponsive company we have ever dealt with. Despite admitting a miscalculation and overcharge in billing, we had to take them to Court to receive reimbursement. We then had to file another claim for non-payment of Court costs (which is part of judgement). We had to hire a second company to move a piece they were too incompetent to move and for which they billed hundreds for the attempts.
Hi Deborah, We understand your frustration but do not agree with your assessment of the situation. We moved your entire home within the estimated price range. We were able to move everything except one large item in the basement, which we were unable to move without ruining the home.
We used them one time before and they did a great job, but it was only to move items. This time we did an interstate move and were quoted for a full pack and move. We did pack quite a bit of items, but not everything. So we expected to pay at most for the full pack. The movers came to pack and prep, and items were left behind not packed. The day that the movers came to load up the truck we had walls that were hit and we had to repair the drywall. We gave grace because things do happen.

We recently used MVM for our out-of-state move from Toledo, Ohio area to East Tennessee. After hearing all of the horror stories and warnings about how bad moving companies are, we were pretty nervous about the move. We received a very fair quote and decided to give them the job. What a great experience we had!! We contracted them to move some specific large and heavy furniture items (including a 900lb safe) and some random heavy wardrobe boxes and other miscellaneous boxes we packed ourselves.

The three young men that worked our move were wonderful! Hardworking, polite, good communication and even kinda fun. I had absolutely no complaints at all. A friend suggested MVM years ago and I have used them a few times. After searching for nearly 2 years, I purchased a very large and very heavy antique China cabinet from an antique store that is my pride and joy. The store owner suggested a different moving company that they often use. I was told by the son of the store owner that when the men from the other company removed the cabinet they nearly dropped it!
