In their own words
I had a poor experience with this moving company and would not recommend. It started when I was told I would be charged for the minimum of 3 hours and pay for any extra time the day of. 4 days later I had an additional charge and when I asked I was told “we always charge for the estimate of the move” from the same guy. I let it be. I was told they would arrive at 11am on a Saturday. I called multiple times and kept being told I was the next move “and the guys got a late start.” They didn’t show up until 6pm..
Nick's Moving provided services for us back on October 1, 2007. They charged us $277 more than the price that they quoted us. After numerous phone calls, the dispute was "resolved" Dave told us he had mailed a check for $264.50. The check never arrived so we gave up. This was very disappointing because they acknowledged they had overcharged and agreed to reimburse us. What a waste of my time and theirs.
I had the owner quote a job for one my clients moving a bike locker in a crate from the shipping terminal to my client's house that was 12 miles apart. I was quoted for 4 guys assisting with this crate that weighed 200lbs over a small fence into his yard and disposing of the crate. This was all included in the rate. They ran my credit card for what I thought was $975 but then was advise by my CFO a month later that the card was charged for $1275.
DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY! The movers that I scheduled and paid for never showed! When I called, I was met with condescension, denial, and excuses. **I see that Nick replied to this review so I will clear up a few things. IF the movers showed up and were turned away, they should have called us. We called Nick AT LEAST three times the day of our move. During a late afternoon call with Nick and the driver, I asked them to send a screen shot to prove they had called us, and I was ignored.
We used this company a while back, they were unfortunately - terrible. Agreed to a date and time, which they couldn't stick to despite calling, stringing us along and saying they were "on their way", or "almost there". They showed up 7-8 …

I highly recommend Nick's! Courteous, punctual, responsive and hard working, they show up to do a job and they get the job done well! I had a big move, with some unexpected hiccups along the way. Nick's dealt with everything head on and in the most effective and reasonable ways. There are so many movers to choose from, but when it comes to knowing your belongings will be in great hands, then Nick's is definitely the way to go.

Nick’s moving company was able to solve our “impossible” couch situation merely hours after we first called. Nick was very kind over the phone and wanted to get this job done before a snow storm. Trevor worked quickly and smoothly to make sure the job was done well and quickly. They charged a VERY fair price and did an EXCELLENT job. I am very very happy with their business.

I've used Nick's Moving several times over the years and always had great experiences with them. They're thoughtful, careful, and easy to work with. I used Nick’s moving company to move and store my apartment contents last spring. Nick and his team provided a quick estimate for their services and the price was significantly less than his competitors. They showed up on the day of the move and packed and loaded my apartment in just a few hours. They handled everything with care and stored them at his storage facility. The facility was convenient and I could access my items with a call. I would recommend Nicks moving. Great overall experience!
