I missed the one line in the email that they only accept cash. At 8 in the morning banks aren’t open. I got 1/2 the cash and tried to pay that then get the other 1/2 after the bank opened. But the owner yelled at me and hung up on me. He was mad that I was crying and claimed that I yelled at his team. I was VERY stressed but I did not yell at them or be rude to them.
Please read the reviews before going with this company. Also note that most of his good reviews are over 5 years old. ……….. My experience was very recent. And I rarely ever leave a bad review. This this warranted one because it’s beyond belief. We hired them for our move the first time a year ago and had a great experience. The team was very professional and quick and the price was fair. So we wanted to use them again for our move to move back.
Hello Cecille. You moved within California a total of 472 miles and filled out our online quote form both times. Your total item list to be moved last year was 30 Pieces of furnishings.
I hired North bay Movers for my daughter. I spoke to David Nolan(?) and was told to fill out a form via email and I would receive a quote within an hour or two. I told him that regardless of the quite amount , we wanted to hire his moving co and that he could book us. He said no problem. After I received the confirmation that Northbay movers received the form with all the details of the move . I called David again because several hours went by and still no quote.
I do not normally write reviews, but I will this time! I called to get a quote to move a small upright piano a half mile away with only one stair at each residence and was quoted almost $500.00! Plus the person on the other end was such a rude and unpleasant person (man) and he acted like it was such a chore to speak to me! I called another piano mover, VERY pleasant and they quoted me $260.00!
The digital age can be so brutal when folks blatantly strike out to an innocent company. We do not know this person, nor did we take their call. Look at our reviews, they were flawless until this person put a bad mark on our reputation. All things come full circle.
Poor communication skills. They fail to return calls and emails in a timely fashion and doubled the price at the last minute. Don't waste your time with these people.
Almost every single 5 star review on here was from the owner Dave himself, the god as he like to refer to himself. You told the wrong person

First, I want to say that I am a real customer of North Bay Movers. I hired them for my move from Penngrove to Rohnert Park on Sunday June 21, 2015. To say I am happy with the service I received from North Bay Movers would be an understatement. David and the 2 movers he sent were absolutely top notch. David responded to my initial request for an online quote the very same day- even though it was a Sunday. He was able to get me on the schedule even with short notice and answered all of my questions right way.
I would like to say thank you to David Nolan, his crew and North Bay Movers for the excellent job they did moving our school district office. Dave personally did the walk through for the quote and let us know the best way to proceed to get everything ready for the move. He and his staff arrived on time during a weekend to start the move. The staff at North Bay Movers wrapped all furniture to avoid any damage and removed all wrapping when finished.
We had an excellent experience with David Nolan and North Bay Movers during our recent move. David was easy to communicate with as we worked out the details of the move. He answered all my questions with patience, came up with creative solutions and followed up with a clear email communication of the plan. The men he sent to pack and load our belongings were exceptional, not only punctual, professional, quick and competent but kind, courteous and personable as well.
I am so glad I called North Bay Movers. From the first phone conversation with David, we received professional, courteous, and caring service. We were not able to do as much pre-packing as I had hoped and my last minute phone calls that we would need increased services were met with with calm assurances that we would be well taken care of. The day of our move started early with Mike, Ramon, and Fred showing up on time and prepared with all of the supplies they would need.
