We were not happy with our experience with odyssey universal movers. We booked them through U-Haul to help us move a large sofa from Cambridge to Fenway this summer. I have back issues, so we booked 2 movers so I wouldn’t have to lift anything heavy. One of the movers showed up on time and ready to work, but the second we had booked did not show up for the pickup. I therefore had to help move the couch myself. Doing this caused a back pain flare that lasted the whole summer.
EDIT: I previously gave them 1 star. The owner came personally with another crew member and got the job done on a rainy Friday night. Kudos although the quality was poor as the bed got very dirty and it was only one man for a while EDIT: They are late once again for a second move with no contact and way to reach them. This happening twice in a row is surely not a fluke. And I’m incredibly disappointed extra attention was not put on my case after my overly generous tip last time.
TERRIBLE COMPANY!!! On Sunday the day before my move, they canceled saying they Did not have enough help! Where am I going to find a mover for tomorrow morning on a Sunday afternoon? The lease is ending. I am driving the rental truck there …

In their own words
Hired Odyssey to move us from one apartment to another in Boston. These guys were on time, incredibly polite and professional, worked together well, and were very efficient with packing the truck and with their time. Nothing was damaged despite some tricky stairs and narrow doorways. Their communication was great throughout. Totally recommend!!
Great experience … booked through the U-Haul app while reserving a truck. Booked a 10am move for 4 hours … movers were running late, but texted an accurate ETA (45 mins late) and followed up with a phone call just prior to arrival. Items were moved quickly, but with great care. Even with the late start, job was finished early and price was fair & reasonable. Would use again for sure!
Tayshawn is fantastic. We were still getting packing completed day of the move and just worked right around us making sure to get moving quickly and efficiently. I can’t recommend him enough. Will be hiring him again for the following weekend to help another family member too! Thanks for helping Tayshawn!
These guys communicated clearly and worked nonstop to help us get the job done. They were polite, punctual, took excellent care of our belongings and made a stressful day much easier. 10/10 would use them again and highly recommend them for anyone moving and in need of top notch service!
