I unfortunately had a very bad experience with this business. In 2010, as a newlywed, I had finally saved up $1600 to buy my first piano. I found a beautiful piano on Gary's website and called him to make an appointment to see it. I was surprised to find that the piano was housed in an unheated/uncooled garage in Eagle, Idaho. The piano was beautiful and I liked the tone but I commented to him that some of the notes sounded a little funny.
I I was never contacted about this as I should have been. I would have immediately rectified the situation or replaced the piano. To get a negative review 10 years later is quite puzzling.
Very disappointed with our experience. Olswanger came out and was not very professional. He claimed our piano was not tunable and dismissed a detailed appraisal from a well-known antique firm in CA. On his way out, he simply called our 130-year-old piano "a great piece of furniture," showing little care for something that holds deep family meaning. Even if he felt he couldn't tune it, a more professional and considerate approach would have made a difference.
This is an absolute misrepresentation of the facts. I saw the piano in person. It had severe damage as a result of a fire and it was not very good before that. The so-called appraisal was from a company in Tennessee not in California. They … More
This guy took hundreds of dollars from me and did absolutely nothing to fix the Rhodes piano I left with him for two weeks. Then he asked me to give him a good review. He's a thief.
I never saw this piano or heard of this person. He has me confused with someone else.

When you find someone who enjoys what they do and are passionate about what they do, make them a member of your team. We cannot speak highly enough about Gary. Professional, friendly, excellent communication, and careful with his work. We had our 6-foot baby grand cleaned and tuned and his work was that of a perfectionist. For the work he did and the price he charged, we got our money's worth. Gary is now a part of our go-to team and will be taking care of our piano in the future. Highly recommend.
Thanks so much. I always try to put my best into every job.
Gary was efficient with communicating to me and while he was in my home he was respectful, kind, informative, and helpful when answering my questions and teaching me about my piano. His demeanor was more than expected and price is fair when looking at other businesses. I will be recommending to anyone looking in the future and continue to use him as my contact for help with our piano. Thanks Gary!
Thanks so much! I am always striving to improve my client's experiences.
Gary Olswanger’s years of experience tuned my piano to perfection. He is prompt in returning calls and messages. He is also willing to answer questions and explain the reasons behind the needs of the piano. I am so pleased with the result of the tuning. Lovely!
Thank you so much. I try to put a piece of myself in every tuning.
Gary is a super friendly, piano tuning wiz! My old Wurlitzer sounds so good and I'm thrilled. A great price!
Thanks so much. That’s what we strive for.
