STOLE PROPERTY AND UNPROFESSIONAL DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I don’t take accusing a local business of stealing lightly, but I am 100% positive that they stole property from my family - most significantly a PS4. We contacted them when we first noticed it was not where it should be (in part because we had overheard a suspicious conversation about our PS4 during the move), but it had been a month after we had moved at this point (we had waited to give them the benefit of the doubt as we continued to unpack) so they…
This company did a terrible job with my family's local move back in October 2024. We are still dealing with the repercussions of their mistakes. Furthermore, we have reached out to them repeatedly to try and talk and there has been no response. I would NOT recommend this company or ANY of the subsidiary companies. It's not about being perfect and never making mistakes - it's about how we handle our mistakes that matters.
We hired Piece by Piece based on the recommendations but this is the worst moving experience we've had, speaking from people who've moved quite a few times, including cross state move. Here's what went wrong: - We signed up for 3 movers from the local team (to reduce the travel cost which is added to the total). Only 2 movers showed up and they were NOT local so we got charged extra than what was promised as "local" team by the sales.

We used PBP for a full house move and storage. Sales contact was effective, movers were hard working both ways, but wrapping/storage technique was horrible. Nearly every piece of furniture was damaged - Sofa and chairs were not wrapped well and corners damaged, wood tables were taped directly and damaged paint. The PBP movers who brought furniture back acknowledged the poor preparation/storage work and were appalled by the situation (their words).

In their own words
We've used PBP 3x now and are never disappointed. Dimas de Pina was the lead during the move and he was exceptional. They were on time, and he made sure people followed directions to a T and were efficient and careful. I cannot say enough about his problem solving skills and willingness to go the extra mile. Any time it appeared something was too big, couldn't fit around a windy staircase, etc, he made miracles happen. So professional, conscientious and effective. His energy never flagged and he led by example.
Great and fair price. Incredible communication. Quality and care far surpassed expectations. 10 out of 10 and will use again!
Piece by Piece did a terrific job of moving items from Brookline to 2 Cape Cod homes (everything had to go into the basement) and then 2 days later they handled my clean out. They packed furniture for donation and took care of the "junk;" The elevator in my building went out in the middle of the move! Not only did they complete it, but they had to deal with building residents who were trying to use the second elevator. And it all came in at a little less than i expected. They were great.
Andre and his team were great to work with! They were easy to communicate with, punctual and professional. They were not only kind and courteous to me, but also respectful of the staff of building I was moving out of. They really helped make a stressful process feel much more manageable. The pricing was reasonable, and the service honestly exceeded my expectations. I’d definitely recommend Piece by Piece and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again! :D
