Rainier Overseas Movers was the US partner for my move from Switzerland to Vermont. After Rainier contacted me to let me know my belongings had arrived in the US, I inquired about storage options and price (twice by email, once by voice mail); I wasn't going to be moving into my new house for two more months and I wanted to make an informed decision about keeping my belongings in storage vs having them delivered to a family member while I waited.
We are sorry waiving a full month of storage charges and the price reduction to your storage invoice to ease your situation was not to your satisfaction. Best wishes with everything. - Rainier Management
Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience with Rainier Overseas Shipping for our move from California to Italy. Based on their in-person survey of our storage garage, I was given an estimate of $5,900. They picked up our belongings on January 2nd, without requiring any money up front. Over the course of the next two months I sent several requests for an invoice, but was always told it would be sent soon. Meanwhile, the items were taken to Houston.

This company helped manage our move from the Netherlands to the USA. They are the US partners with De Gruijter that sold us insurance for $1,800 to cover sets, pairs, mold, mildew & damages. Now that we're trying to get reimbursement, they have a middleman "Overseas Administrative Management" that is making it impossible for us to be reimbursed less than a month after our move was completed. We are so disappointed with their lack of service and follow through to get our claims honored. Don't go with this company!

I have been trying to lock an international move with them, I was in touch with David Wiviott. It was simply impossible to get any information from him and every single email he sent me sounded annoyed. Such bad customer service. I will hire another company. To reply to David: No, you never suggested a survey tour, I did. Because I was unable to get the answers to my questions.

They were very professional, offered a competitive quote, and most importantly, everything arrived at its destination in perfect condition. We packed our belongings into a 20ft container. The packing crew were quick, great at communicating, and did an amazing job fitting everything into the container.

Our move went smoothly at a very reasonable price. Coordinating an international move was stressful but the whole process was explained very clearly and we were confident we were in good hands. Would use again.
When my family relocated from Seattle to Sweden we hired Rainier Overseas Movers after a long process of speaking with and obtaining quotes from half a dozen international moving companies.
