In their own words
Initially was very impressed with my move. The movers were helpful and professional. The movers left my house and everything was good, boxes were piled in my basement and I was told to "make a claim" if I came across anything that was damaged. This made me comfortable with the movers leaving and I was satisfied with the work that they had done to that point. A week later I unboxed my 82" TV that had not been moved from the location the movers set it down and found it to be broken.
Had no choice on the company as it was a government contract. Having worked for North American van lines previously I was pretty disappointed in how unprofessional the whole service was. I know the level of service we held at Mackies for all moves and especially government contracts. Load and pack no issues, items went to long term storage ( not sure how it will all come out in a year ). Sent an inventory list back to have some items pulled out of storage and delivered.

Avoid unless you want to be ripped off! This company is terrible. They quote 50% less than they actually charge, then state that additional fees must be added because of "weight". My girlfriend, who weighs 110 lbs, and I were able to move our 2 bedrooms worth of furniture by ourselves in 2 hours. We had no large appliances and everything was already boxed up. I'm a little bit perplexed as to how light ikea furniture constitutes an additional $800 charge.
Hi Regan, I do not have a move under your name, however, you could be posting for another person. Intercity moves are priced based on weight and distance traveled, charges are not based on time.
My dining room furniture (6 chairs and the buffet) was badly damaged; as was my leather couch, a colonial cabinet, my brand new TV stand, my sewing cabinet, a broken shelving unit. And both lamp shades damaged. They damaged a doorway going out of the house, and damaged a doorway going into my new place! All this in a 5 block move! Disappointed and disgusted - two of the three men were long time employees; management were rude and inconsiderate. Overall experience is less than 0 ... do NOT use them!
Ray's moving doesn't complete their moving job in a speedy fashion. I'm still waiting for some of my things after 3 weeks. And I had quite a bit of damaged items.., totally about $200 plus the cost of my Kennel which was $600.. I am tired of waiting for my things, what else am I supposed to do?
We do apologize for any inconveniences you have encountered. Please be assured that Ray's Moving would have moved your Kennel, however, it was not admissible under the terms of the agency that had hired Ray's to relocate your belongings. We are required to follow their rules.

Ray’s Moving moved me on Dec 7, 2022. The moving team of Theo, Dale, and Nolan were efficient, excellent, and kind. I did not once feel uncomfortable around them. All three were polite, appropriate, and did a good job. My things were inventoried, all except a few random pieces left until the end; all furniture was wrapped; and the team worked hard.

The stars on this review are reflecting team number 2(Nikki, Jason, Josh and Aiden). Should team number 1 be able to receive stars, they'd get 0. We had 2 crews from the company with vastly different experiences. This review is for day 1 crew which consisted of Eve, Cory and Darryl. When they showed up I had prepped the house with several rooms ready to go for a full pack, including the 2 offices, MBR closet and basement. I had followed the emailed instructions and unplugged the freezer as requested.

Barry Woolhether and the team at Ray's did a great job in handling my move on December 1 & 2, 2022. Prior to my load date, Barry provided me with my quote and the assurance of a pick up and delivery on the dates that I required. At loading, Tyler and Corey were excellent. They had my house loaded on the truck by early afternoon which allowed me to get to my destination in plenty of time for delivery the following day. They took care and attention with my glass items and furniture that needed wrapping.

When I fist called Ray's Moving, for an estimate and discussion about moving us from Oxbow to Estevan, Barry was very professional and told us what to expect during our move. On the moving day they arrived at 10:30 as promised and got to work immediately. Brian started packing of china from the cabinet, while the other 2 started loading furniture and boxes we had packed. My husband was not feeling too well so they left his bed until the last so he could rest.
