I gave 5 stars at pick up, but after receiving my delivery I am changing my review. Keep in mind I paid about $6,000 to Safeway for our family move. Pick up: The movers were 1.5 hours late (supposed to arrive between 8am and 10am but showed up at 11:30 am) due to "truck problems" but I overlooked this because they were hard working and efficient once they arrived. (BTW- If you are late to receive your items at delivery you are charged about $200 an hour, but there's no discount if they show up late).

"Matt and his team were very helpful in addressing the parking issue at my apartment. They got the truck parked, no questions asked, and were very attentive getting everything wrapped and packed." Update 3/15/26: I was effectively forced to write the above review by Matt after he and his partner had finished packing the truck. Matt sent me the attached photo and told me to include it in the review. I did not take that myself. One-star rating is no reflection on Matt and his partner, but on Safeway as a whole.
Luis & Manny were awesome and very professional, very impressed how well everything was packed. This was from a month ago , I posted this review because things looked well but now it’s been a month later and my stuff still have not arrived . When my stuff was being picked up, I offered to give my forwarding address to Louis. He said someone was going to contact me to get it and I said OK then I didn’t hear nothing back.

Overall would recommend for a long-distance moving team. This was our first time hiring movers for loading, driving, and unloading for one of our moves. The coordination leading up to the move itself was a bit confusing just because there's so many different people involved in clarifying the inventory, scheduling the movers, completing paperwork, etc. However customer service is very responsive and helpful with clearing things up. Our actual movers were fantastic!

These guys are miracle workers! I reside on the third floor of an old building that has a very narrow and steep staircase and no elevator. They were able to transport a heavy, solid-wood dining table without damaging the wall or the table. I was waiting for a disaster, and they dealt with it admirably.
