Secure Moving Burnaby

A team of three guys. Stuffed their pockets with profit and their 5ton to the gills because they did not bring the bigger truck like I said we needed and only stopped to listen to our needs when I threatened to stop the whole job and they went on doing what they though rather then listen and forget stuff. DO NOT call them and book your move. I am impressed only with one guy, Homon of the three. He was the only one who put any thought and effort into meeting our needs.

We chose Secure Moving Ltd for our in-city move because of the great google reviews, and because the receptionist was very informative when we were gathering quotes from companies. Unfortunately, our experience was not good. The movers went to the wrong pick up address, which caused them to be late on arrival (which caused further issues with elevator bookings). The movers did not use any padding on our furniture, even though the website says that furniture blankets are included.

Edit: They refunded me what they extra charged me. But now they are calling me every day and messaging me to my email and phone asking me to delete this review. So much so, that the CEO stalked me on LinkedIn and found out where I work and now they are threating in calling my workplace. If the HARRASMENT don't stop, I will bring the evidence of this to the police. ______________ They extra charged me and it's taking many days to get answers to my emails.

Move April 29th 2025 Have called the RCMP and Vancouver Police dept about your threat via phone to come to my new adress to visit me with the three guys who did the moving and who you yourself suggested to not be responsible of theft. I merely made you aware that multiple boxes and those with childrens toys also in the roughneck plastic canadian tire containers, never arrived. Precision Board Game, Bubble Soap Blower, VTech Zoo Jamz Xylophone.

Nice movers but you need to watch out for hidden costs. 1. They start the clock for travel time ie from the min they leave their office they are on the clock ( was charged an additional 1.5 hours) This is not standard in Vancouver. They never added “travel” time into the quote they provided even though they knew the locations. This was a very sneaky move. Ensure you ask them to put the travel time into the quote as it will DOUBLE your quote right off the bat. 2.

Would not recommend. Owner called me 15 times to pay - including through one of the movers' phone to ask me to pay. It had been 20 mins since the move was concluded and they hadn't yet sent an invoice. I insisted on the invoice because on the phone the rep had mentioned hidden fees not discussed prior. Invoice turned out to be incorrect (charged an extra hour over and above the additional travel hour), so that had to be corrected. Then he called more times asking me to pay while we waited for the new invoice.

I originally posted a 5 star review here because I felt pressured to do so. I also felt pressured to give the owner a tip because of how physically large he was and how I felt uncomfortable. This guy will move your stuff, but I suggest you look elsewhere.
