In their own words
Where they fell down: 1) They surprised me the day of the move to tell me they didn't have space to store my things. They rented a unit from a 3rd party. To save money, they jammed my things into that unit, which resulted in significant breakage. They also charged me more than quoted for this storage. 2) Moving into my new location, I discovered all the things they broke, some of which was hidden in the truck where I discovered it under a blanket.
Like other reviewers, I am also a victim of Smooth Move and Delivery , Stamford CT. They damaged and destroyed thousands of dollars of my belongings. I even went so far as to pay for an additional $10,000 in insurance, but they refused to pay replacement value. Instead, they offer you 60 cents per pound, so a 50lb/ 60 inch tv gets you $30 in insurance. Or, they will claim that the item you paid excess insurance for needs to be depreciated by 10% a year and they require proof of purchase/receipts.
If I could give 0 stars it would be more appropriate. My moving with Smooth Move was a nightmare. I called many companies to get a quote for my moving Darien CT - Orlando FL. They did a video call where I showed my house, garage and told …
This is ultimately a negative review of Smooth Move and Delivery, despite the excellent work of Roger, Roman, and Anderson. They were careful, professional, communicative, and handled our belongings with great care. My criticism is not …
Very negative experience. An SM&D moving truck driver dangerously cut me off on Route 8, putting lives at risk. Extremely irresponsible and unacceptable behavior for a company vehicle.

In their own words
We had an outstanding experience with our three movers! They were professional, efficient, and worked seamlessly together to make our move into our new home completely stress-free. They handled all of our belongings with great care, stayed positive throughout the entire process, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was placed exactly where we wanted it. Their teamwork and hard work made moving day so much easier.
We had a move from Connecticut to New Jersey with Smooth Move And Delivery. They showed up on time both days and wrapped everything in blankets and tape. I appreciate that they pointed out one of the unplugs at the bottom of the legs of my …
We moved within Norwalk. Several floors, 4 BR, with multiple stairs on both ends of the move. SM&D kept up a perfect level of communication throughout the entire process (pricing, planning, and execution of the move). I received several calls the week before to make sure that our packing was going along well and asking if we needed help. The process of pricing was easy and clear - all of the details were there. Highly recommend.
This was the smoothest move of my life. It saved my back and saved me so much time. My consultant, Shaun, from the first call was extremely helpful, kind and explained everything very clearly to me. My movers Oscar and Gerson were professional, super fast, and clearly experience in moving. I couldn't believe how efficient they were. It was like I blinked my eyes and the move was done. Thank you so much. Will be recommending you and probably using you again in the future.
