In their own words
One star doesn't begin to describe this experience. Contracted to move 3 bedroom house out of state. Showed up 3 hours late the first day, brought two guys who were lazy, slow, and worked only 5:30 of the 8 hours contracted and still charged me the full 8 hours. Didn't bring a big enough truck to complete the job. (Had to drive back and finish the job myself). Owner tried to double charge the transportation fee when they did have my stuff and threatened to terminate the job if I didn't pay up. (Extortion).
I did not have a very pleasant experience with this company. We requested a quote and was told $130 an hour so we booked 8:00 for our moving day. The night before a confirmation text was sent stating they would arrive at 10:00. The next day, they communicated they would not arrive until close to 1:00. Before the movers started, they wanted payment information. That’s when I was immediately charged $390 at 1:02 and $260 at 2:48. The movers were finished by 4:00.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are scammers and very unprofessional. The owner is a complete liar and made unauthorized charges to my account. When I contacted them about it, he acted as if he had no idea about what I was talking about. I did not received any type of invoice or receipt for the charges. I ended up canceling the moving service because I was quoted different amounts each time I called about my booking date.
Our move with Spyder was a cascade of disappointments. You may have googled Spyder and been impressed with their high reviews on Google. I'd suggest looking at Yelp for a more accurate assessment. We contracted Spyder to move our 1300 sqft 3 bed, 2 bath home. Consultations via phone were dismal. They are only interested in when and where they'll pick up and drop off your move. The actual move was disappointing too. It took the movers 8 hours to load 90% of our home as their truck reached capacity.
This is a terrible company! Save yourself the headache and cost. The owner didn’t communicate with the movers. They were five hours late then had to finish the next day. This is where it got Nasty. The owner demanded that I pay for that day and the next day or he was going to have his guys drive off with my stuff that was in the truck. He threaten to call the police if I didn’t pay for the next day too. I didn’t even know if they were going to show up.
There were 2 older gentleman that showed up and the 3rd was an hr or so late. The 3rd guy didn’t do anything. They were rushed in the end to complete in the time frame. They were ok but I wouldn’t use them again unless I was in a serious bind.
Thanks for the impactful review. Your move was completed about a month ago and you had no complaints. As you mentioned, the movers finished your move within the timeframe. Did not go over time specified for your move. Not sure why you would be upset about it and have such negativity.
The movers did an excellent job. When they got here they did not stop. Seven hours non stop. I am blown away with their effort and professionalism. When I first contacted the company I explicitly told them I needed 3 guys. Only 1 were sent. …
Damages property and don’t want to pay for it. The manager is completely shady. The guys move extremely slow and does not bring any tools. Had to rent an u haul truck and pay someone to get the rest of my belongings that were left behind. …

Spider Moving Service is a great company. They are very professional and really go the extra mile. They assisted me with my move 4 hours away from home to Montgomery, Alabama. Moving company certainly proved themselves to be trustworthy I highly recommend them the staff are over the top courteous and it definitely shows and is a good look on the company services we’re super de dooper even when you arnt expecting to hear from them initially do rest to sure they are working to take care of you and will do just that
