Communication within the company is TERRIBLE. There were misunderstandings related to the timing of our move and cost, and while the owner (after much argument) did fix these things, his follow-up comments were quite ugly, implying we were in the wrong. Also, the lady in the office (Michelle) who answers the phone and is the owner's mom, should not be interacting with the public. Maybe there is another role there she could fulfill. On the phone she scolds, rants, and is just plain rude.
Karen, we did everything to assist you and your daughters move. We understand you were out of state and orchestrating the relocation needs. We took money off the bill and even compensated you for a couch rip that we firmly believe we did … More
Late, did a terrible job with the move, charged over what was quoted by $300.... But came back later to fix the main issues (not price) for free. I'm still upset.... They murdered my orchids ($200), left a pile of liquid soap in my garage that they accidentally spilled which I slipped on... I found the orchid upside down packed in a trash bag. And they SREAMED at me for asking for an ETA when they were over 6 hours late.... I know they tried to fix the situation, but I'm emotionally scarred by this.

Yeah - pretty terrible experience. I had to go to the new place and leave the movers unsupervised for the most part, so it's my fault. You would think common sense would tell them "Hey, lets not leave things in the apartment and not MOVE them." especially after the guy you're moving stuff for said CALL HIM IF THERE WERE ANY QUESTIONS. No, instead your guys decided to destroy my couch, tear the weather striping off the door and leave a bunch of my stuff in my old place. Never again.
Don't waste your time or money! They butchered our new furniture that was delivered by Mathis Bros. and in perfect condition and lost our dining table leaf. These movers are exactly as their name, they are STUDENTS with absolutely ZERO moving experience. Do yourself a favor and hire a real moving company. They also have ZERO customer service skills and are absolutely rude!
VERBALLY ABUSIVE OWNER - PLEASE SEE HIS RESPONSE TO OTHER 1 STAR REVIEWS Beware!!! Worst move EVER. I had to hire another moving company to finish the job. I called Student Movers to discuss the lack of progress during the move. First, the phone lady told me I was lying, and produced hours old video feed of my house. She even said, 'bet you didn't know we were videotaping you.' I didn't know. Is this even legal?
Fact: You have admitted online to smoking weed in front of our movers. The TV was on and you were watching the View, and still putting things in boxes. While the men were trying to find a clear path to even get things loaded on the truck. … More
The two movers assigned to us were professional and polite. The issue with Student Movers is not the movers, but the management. My partner and I had the displeasure of speaking with a hysterical, unprofessional woman who claimed to be a manager. Our issue was run of the mill: we wanted to pay with a different card than what the one used to book, because the job was taking longer than expected, and the cost was better hit on another account. They charged it anyway despite telling them otherwise.
We will be reporting this to UCI for conduct unbecoming, theft of service, libel, and harassment. Cassie was never our customer and has created multiple fake accounts, several of which have already been removed.
Movers were extremely slow. Were not able to clear out a 450 sq ft apt and move the items down the block to a storage facility within the 4 hr time frame. We now have to hire another company to remove one truckload left in the apt. Very disappointing. This company is expensive, too! We had to pay $540+ and the job was not even completed.

On labor only moves it’s the customers responsibility to provide moving blankets and straps. We do the best we can under the circumstances of Labor Only. Your order stated 1 bedroom, but address is a 4 bedroom.

This was the BEST moving experience I have experienced! I did two moves due to size of my house. First move was with Jake & David. Clear, precise and hard working. Nothing broken. Second move I requested Jake but David was not available. But I got Jake and three other movers. They were delayed a few hours due to an accident on fwy so I got a discount. So professional!!!!! I received call from administration informing me the rest of movers would be late.
I have used Student Movers for both a commercial and residential move and was extremely satisfied. They were on time, got the job done efficiently and stuck the the budget that they quoted. I would use them again and would recommend them for any move big or small.

Went above and beyond! They are a local family business that understands sticky moving situations and will work tirelessly to help the customers. Incredible customer service and value for the work done. Everyone working there is an angel and make you feel good about supporting their business.
