Movers did not show up on the Date promised, Did not show up the next day after they called and said they will, finally showed up on the third day which almost cost us the sale of our home. Still could not complete the job and had to come again the 4th day! Upon arrival to the destination after being as rude as can be on the phone, we found damages estimated at about $7,000! broken items, scratched items, unassembled items as they promised.

Experience with Top Notch Moving was very displeasing. My items were kept in a storage facility for 30 days before being delivered, and upon delivery, several items (some on the inventory sheet and one was not) were missing during delivery. The item that was not included on the inventory sheet, and was also the last item loaded on the truck, was a dolly which the movers were using to load my items.

I moved with this company recently, and I was quoted one price, and at the end which was almost 10hrs later I was given the final cost and it was a thousand dollars OVER the price that was initially quoted. Never in my life have I had this happen and I move YEARLY. I was shocked. I felt taken advantage of 1000% because the guy was making conversation the ENTIRE time. Even stopping to have a conversation. I will never use this company again.

In August 2025, my boyfriend and I hired this company to move our belongings from Houston, Texas to Tacoma, Washington. The initial service was very good; they gave us an estimated price. On moving day, they showed up saying we had to pay an additional $900 because, supposedly, our boxes were oversized. Indignant, we paid it because what else could we do? When the move arrived, about 15 days later, everything seemed fine.

Beware of Top-Notch Movers – A Horrible Experience I had an absolutely terrible experience with Top-Notch Movers. They are one of the worst moving companies out there. When they finally delivered our belongings, nearly 50% of our items were either broken or severely damaged. On top of that, our furniture arrived scratched, dented, and in worse condition than when they picked it up. The company’s name is completely misleading – there's nothing "top-notch" about their service.

Added multiple service charges after estimates that doubled the cost of our move and then broke hundreds of dollars worth of our things. I opened a claim, they paid me back $26.38. Avoid at ALL costs, especially for anything leaving North NJ.

They don't follow through with call backs like they say. They don't show up on time and they deliver when they want to with no notice unless you call 15 minutes notice.

I scheduled an appointment with Top Notch so they could come to my home & provide an estimate. They never showed-up, nor did they call to cancel or postpone.
