Scheduled for 10am I texted Dave at 1pm, he took awhile to respond then said they were delayed till 4pm. Very unprofessional so I canceled.
We are a moving company based in Hunt Valley, Maryland. We have no record of working with you, and since your only other reviews are across the country, I believe you have the wrong company. I am sorry you had this experience, but it does not appear to have been with us.
Where to begin. The two trucks that were sent were unable to load all the items and we were forced to load 4 cars to complete the move. The next day was when the real surprises came. Upon completion the $8,000.00 estimate turned into $12,900, a 65-70% increase. We refused that and they came down to $10,500 still 30% over. The worst was still to come as 2 boxes with documents marked master bedroom disappeared, with the company saying they had nothing left on the truck.
TPN is flagging my reviews because I'm telling the truth. My move was an epic disaster, they acted like they cared, but they didn't. They already had my money and ran me around for a year. My last review got a kind response to please call and discuss it. I called them for a year. They don't use professional movers. They hire kids, half of which claimed they didn't understand English. They didn't even know what a tanning bed was, and broke bulbs from stacking things on it, leaving it scratched.
You have reviewed the wrong business. We are sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with another mover, but what you have described does not match our company, our crews, or our records. Most notably, we do not move tanning beds; instead, we refer them to a specialist.
They are moving my neighbor in, and have blocked my driveway. No knock on the door to ask me to move my car, no note saying "text us if you need to get out." Just really a jerk (I am thinking of a work stronger than jerk) move. No one to talk to. Really loving my new neighbor now. Not "top notch"
We apologize that this happened and for any inconvenience. We try to notify any neighbor and insure they well not need to leave before we block their driveway.
Used Top Notch moving services to move less than a mile down the road. The final cost of the move was 2x the amount that was quoted. I won't be using Top Notch again based on lack of transparency.

In their own words
I recently used Top Notch Moving and Storage for a recent relocation, and I can't recommend them highly enough! From start to finish, the entire experience was outstanding and truly stress-free. Zach and team arrived right on time which set the tone for how smooth the day would be. They were incredibly professional from the moment they introduced themselves: polite, efficient, well-organized, and clearly experienced in handling moves of all sizes.
My parents recently moved to a local retirement community and their experience could not have been any better. From the start of the process, Dave was extremely responsive and even dropped off all supplies that were needed for the move. He even met me at the house one day and gave me all the tips on packing as well as even packing some delicate items that I was hesitant on doing. On the day of the move, the guys showed up on time and worked like a well oiled machine.
Top Notch has been our go-to mover on our last several moves. Their pricing is fair and provided with an on-site inspection of your move-from location. The crew is professional, respectful, clean, funny, and honestly fun to have around during a very stressful situation. One of those things that you see with the Top Notch crews - and that you don't see with others - sharing ways of doing things faster, safer, easier among the members of the crew who have more eperience with the less-experienced guys.
I found out about this company through my real estate agent and 3 different coworkers who have used them in the past. All I have to say is WOW! I had a complicated move from Baltimore to Havre De Grace with multiple stops as things went to different family members. We had some extremely difficult and priceless items that were protected and move with ease. Jamie and his crew executed the job without a snag with so much care and concern.
