Pauly's Movers

Pauly’s Movers was dishonest, unprofessional, and grossly overpriced. My experience involved a misleading quote, extreme delays, poor communication, rude behavior, and a final bill nearly three times higher than what I was told on the phone. I booked this move after speaking with a woman who clearly stated the total cost would be UNDER $1,000 with discounts applied. Based on that representation, I scheduled an 8:00 AM appointment. They did not show up.

The movers took forever between locations- I waited 45 min after getting to the drop off location. Multiple pieces of my furniture were damaged and after filing a claim 38 days later, I received an email from the claims company that they were no longer under contract with Polly’s movers. Five days later after multiple emails and phone calls to Polly’s movers I received an email from the damage claim company that they were back on our contract with Poll’s movers.

This is difficult for me to write. It’s been nearly a year since my move. I want to give Bonnie some credit, after my house burnt down they moved some things from me from my friend’s house to my temporary apartment for free and I really appreciate that. I tipped the drivers I believe $100 .When they offered to do that I promised them that when I moved from my temporary apartment to my permanent home, I would use them, and I kept my word.

Please read through all the reviews...There does not seem to be a middle ground so, apparently, it depends on who shows up that day OR they are taking advantage of particular folks. This company offers a great price for "full-service" moving. Then, they showed up without any tools for disassembling furniture. When it was suddenly "time to leave to get to another job" the kitchen remained entirely unpacked, along with many, many other items in the house.

I had high hopes for this company. Everyone I spoke to about scheduling were so nice. And there were a lot of 5 star reviews so I felt good about choosing them. What should have taken a few hours took almost 6. My house was almost completely empty except for the furniture. They came with just an Allen wrench so I had to call neighbors to help take apart my bed and take my tvs down. One of the guys actually went out to the truck and took a nap.

I hired this company to move a few furniture pieces in order to stage my home before the showings begin next month. I was very disappointed in how my china cabinet was moved down our stairs. And then, what pissed me off the most was that 1 person attempted to drag our sofa across my wood floor and left a deep gouge that will effect the sale of my home. Instead of immediately putting me in contact with someone from the office, this person told me what I can do to repair their damage. I don't think so.

I recently used Pauly’s to help me move a 2 bedroom apartment to another 2 bedroom apartment. When I first called the guy who set me up was very kind. I called on a Tuesday to get movers on a Saturday and they were able to fit me in. They quoted me for 2 hrs and told me he would send 3 guys who could get it done quickly. I paid a 100 deposit that went towards my final amount. I was originally quoted 7 something for 2 hrs.

SCAM ALERT: PREDATORY BAIT AND SWITCH - DO NOT HIRE! RATING: 1/5 (Would give 0 if I could) If I could give this company negative stars, I would. My experience with Pauly's Movers was not just bad service; it was borderline criminal. If you are thinking about hiring them, my advice to you is to RUN FAST in the other direction. 1. The Bait and Switch (Theft): They quoted me a price of $550.00. However, once they had all my belongings loaded onto their truck, the extortion began.
