Definitely the worst U-Haul experience I've ever had in my life. I reserved a truck and due to the app malfunctioning, I was not allowed to upload a photo and therefore could not continue the reservation. The owner would not rent me a truck without the app as if U-Haul wasn't around before apps were even created. I called a U-Haul in Modesto California and was able to rent a truck in 5 minutes with no problem.
This location is horrible they re-wrote my contract in the middle of my move, separated my pods and cost me an additional $3,600 for my pods. I was told one price which was already over $9000 and then when I was no longer in the state said oh wait you have to pay extra for my 4th pod so I am stuck with the cost. This was communicated after they already had my pod and I moved to the new state. What choice do I have I would have never agreed to this if communicated up front. This is a complete ripoff
The entire experience was horrible the person helping us had no clue what they were doing. I sympathize since she was new employee and left alone. Paperwork was done incorrectly was force to drive truck to Northgate facility so they can check truck and miles. Would never go to that facility for any storage needs.
