The rating breakdown
7 of the 44 ratings in Google’s published star breakdown for U-Pack are one or two star.
Worked out from 44 ratings. That is enough to publish but few enough that one more review moves it noticeably, so read it as a hint rather than a measurement.

In their own words
A disturbing and disgusting experience. Upack basically took my money, took my pods in Pennsylvania, and wouldn't deliver them to my new place in Ma. (though they were delivered to their local yard in Brockton). Their estimated two day delivery took 10! No apologies and in fact the horrible woman in Brockton yelled at us because we had the audacity to want our stuff when Upack said we'd have it. We had a young child whose crib and most of his clothes were packed up.
Bad experience. No information or wrong information. Two agents Never told me that West Bridgewater station would be CLOSED for four days over Thanksgiving holiday. Thus l could not get my belongings. There is NO excuse for this.
Horrible customer service. They do what they want, when they want. My nieces and nephews are better communicators than the unfortunate souls who answer the phones. Never again!
What satisfied customers point to
The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

In their own words
I have used Upack twice in two years. Both occasions, they were quite responsive and very professional. both were interstate moves. first in May 2021 from Atlanta to Cambridge Massachusetts and this June 2023 from Cambridge to Hershey …
I've used ABF U-Pack trailers four times over 20 years for long-distance moves and they've always been great. Their prices are always much more affordable than full-service movers and I love that they can guarantee a delivery date. Just make sure you hire moving labor who really knows how to pack a truck well - because it's a freight trailer, it's a rough ride, so if your stuff isn't loaded into the truck efficiently, it could get damaged.
The entire experience with U-Pack was as advertised. All aspects of the move went as smooth as possible. The trailer arrived on time and was picked up the afternoon after I called. The trailer arrived when expected at our destination on time. I would definitely recommend U-Pack to anyone making a long distance move but doesn't want to have to drive the moving truck themself.
This was my first cross country move as an adult, and I was very nervous about having to possibly hitch my car to a uhaul and drive it through mountains, moving from FL to MA. So when I found out about pods and services like then I was very interested. UPack had some of the best reviews of the industry, and were definitely cheaper than services like PODS (3.5k vs 2k.) Super easy to book, very responsive, and came right when I needed them.
