ZERO STARS! BE WARE OF THIEVES! Was moved by ANGEL, ADAM, MARK R, MARK T and ROB on Saturday morning. Was so happy with them until today during unpacking when I realizedI WAS ROBBED DURING MY MOVE! Approximately 8 BOTTLES OF COLOGNE some brand brand new, A PAIR OF GUCCI SLIDES AND A PAIR OF YEEZY SNEAKERS HAD ALL BEEN STOLEN. How can movers who people entrust with their belongings be THIEVES AND SMILE IN YOUR FACE?! On top of a 200$ cash tip i gave them they STOLE APPROXIMATELY 1,500$ worth of my belongings.

⭐️ Buyer Beware ⭐️ If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. My experience with 1/2 Price Movers was the most unprofessional and dishonest service I have ever encountered. I had scheduled a move with them, confirmed everything in advance, and thought I was in good hands. At the very last minute, they cancelled the job without any valid reason — leaving me completely stranded. To make matters worse, they charged me over $300 even though no service was ever performed.

Subject: Escalation Request – Damage Claim from Recent Move Dear General Manager, I recently used Half Price Movers for a furniture move, and unfortunately several of my items were damaged during the process, including my couch and bed frames. I reported the damage immediately and provided photos as requested. What has been extremely frustrating is the way this claim has been handled so far. I was initially offered only $50 in compensation, which after multiple back-and-forth conversations was increased to $150.

I scheduled a move from the home I lived in for 26 years. The estimate was done over the phone — no in-person visit or video call. I carefully listed everything to be moved, but the estimate ended up being significantly off, and the truck they sent was too small. They couldn’t fit six planters and about 20 miscellaneous items (brooms, shovels, etc.), and told me I’d need to schedule a second move on another day — at full cost. I know, mind boggling.

They did a very poor job planning my move. I was moving from a two bedroom apartment to a single family house. They asked for photos to see what kind of stuff we had, which we supplied. They said they’d pack on Sunday and move on Monday. They didn’t arrive until after 12 on Sunday and didn’t finish, so the move was pushed to Tuesday. They didn’t arrive until after 3 on Monday and still didn’t finish. We start moving Tuesday while they finish packing but they filled up the truck so couldn’t do everything.

I called this company for basic moving needs. They kept calling us to reduce their fee. Should have known that was a red flag. I paid a $100 deposit but my situation changed and they told me they cannot refund it but only reschedule. basically they are stealing my deposit. If they cared about having a good reputation they would be flexible with their customers. This is going to the Better Business Bureau. I would AVOID at all costs.

I called and provided all the requested information, only to be transferred to a “specialist” who repeatedly put me on and off hold about five times before finally saying they weren’t available until August 1. The entire experience was unnecessarily time-consuming, unprofessional, and made worse by the representative’s rude and dismissive attitude.

HORRIBLE! maybe I just had a bad experience currently. But the hard sell tactic does not work. Just be honest and not use those types of ploys. Furthermore, Christina the sales specialist who helped me was monotone and rude. Used sale …
