2 Burley Men

Terrible. Don't bother and stay away. We had so many issues with our move, where do I begin? -Did not have enough crew to move us, even though we were descript with our contents. Had to call up some random help who were younger and pretty sketch. They even asked our teenager to help for a few bucks under the table.

The moving company Two Burley Men were to arrive on moving day at 9 a.m. They had even called the previous afternoon to confirm that we were the first move of the day. They weren’t here by 9:45 so my wife phoned and was told that they just had to finish a move from the day before and they would be at hour place in an hour or two. At 12:00 there was still no sign of them so my wife called again. No answer. Eventually she got a text saying that the driver would call in an hour or so.

They lost a third of my parents' property, equalling tens of thousands of dollars of loss, and the loss of irreplaceable items of emotional importance. Furthermore, upon receiving complaints from us regarding our lost property, they threatened lawsuits in order to make our complaints disappear. Zero stars. Total lack of integrity or professionalism.

If you are looking for the worst move ever, call this company! I wish I didn't have to even give them 1 star! As you can see in the picture below, they don't take any care with your possessions. They let us know 3 days before the move that they were coming 1 or 2 days early. (They had only given us a 2 day window instead of a specific day.) They arrived about 5 hours late. Didn't have enough supplies with them so things that should have been protected with moving blankets weren't.

First of all they left my plants in the lobby of my building after they left and I had to throw them out cuz I had nothing else I could do with them. The “manager/owner?” Let himself and his wife? Into my place with no heads up or introduction and just started touching our stuff. The movers themselves were not the friendliest and had a bad attitude about the parking (busy anpartment complex, they were given AMPLE heads up on what to expect) and took forever in between trips - like literally an hour everytime they…

We booked a <=1500 lb move for $1500 over the phone. The day of the move, after putting all our items in the truck, the driver provided us a form to sign which showed a <=3000 lb move for $3000. We explained that we did not book the <=3000 lb, but the driver did not have authority, so he waited while we called the company directly. We spoke to the exact person who booked our move (Josh), but he said that we booked the <=3000 lb and would not budge.

When I booked via the call center, I explained I had a 3 bedroom condo with a lot of stuff including storage in the basement and one stop at a storage locker before unloading at my new apartment. My quote was 8 hours at $1600. It took 2 days! $3700 on the first day and almost $1000 on day two (after being told I was getting a discount) with multiple big ticket damages. I had items missing and when I enquired they were returned with the excuse that it was forgotten in the truck.

Overall it’s been a disappointing experience on many fronts. From the start the communication has been poor and it is still a reoccurring theme. It has been us chasing them down for information instead of them providing us with information …
