495 Movers Inc

After years of working with another moving company, I did some research and found 495 Movers. Their excellent reviews convinced me to give them a try, and I was impressed right from the start. Their attention to detail and care in protecting my belongings set them apart. Over time, I used them for at least five or six of my personal moves, and I was so satisfied that I even began coordinating professional moves with them. Unfortunately, my experience with them last year told a different story.

Preface: We have to move quite often due to the nature of our work. I worked with this company, specifically , Ron, for a few months. Everything was communicated in a clear and concise manner. Day of delivery-March 2026: they used a 3rd party moving (broker) company to deliver my furniture. I specifically asked multiple times if they would do this. Ron denied this. The company arrived with only ONE add'l person. They then had to call for "backup" They were dismissive, rude, and unprofessional.

The company’s administrative process is extremely poor. As a customer, I had to call multiple times and constantly follow up just to get basic responses. When an item was lost during a move (less than 5 miles away), the company denied my claim even after I provided proof, countless emails, and research. They simply gave me the runaround.

I was completely disappointed with 495Movers. Let me start by saying the loading and unloading team was fantastic. The guys that packed and loaded the truck were hard workers, professional and did an outstanding job. My issue was the final bill which was $4,000 more than the estimate. The estimate was 2,000cf and it ended up being 3,000cf. They had to bring an additional truck which created all sorts of challenges.

While some may think that paying a little bit more will provide a better or more professional service, that absolutely does not hold true for 495 Movers. We experienced a multitude of issues throughout the entire process from in-home estimation all the way to delivery. - Our in-home estimation was provided by one of their "Vice Presidents” and ended up costing us 40% more than we expected on move-day.

THE MANAGER IS A USED CAR SALESMAN I had to deal with NON STOP LIES AND GOT RIPPED OFF!! I called 495 movers they wanted to do a VIDEO Call I SAID NO! I don't want any GAMES Justin came out looked at EVERYTHING AND SAID I WILL NEED 2 TRUCKS AND STILL HAVE PLENTY OF SPACE TO TAKE MORE STUFF, THEY GAVE ME A $22,000 QUOTE I had another Quote for $15,000 after all the fees and UP CHARGES, they settled at $18,000. FOR A BINDING QUOTE NOT TO EXCEED.

I had the misfortune of dealing with what can only be described as a woeful and unprofessional moving company. My encounter with their services was nothing short of a nightmare, and I strongly advise anyone considering their services to steer clear. Upon reaching out to inquire about a quote and specifying the date for our move, I spent an agonizing 15-20 minutes attempting to communicate with an agent who proved incredibly difficult to understand and utterly inept at comprehending the information provided.

495 Movers is the worst company I have ever worked with. The quote I received after they came to our house to see all the items was half of what I was ultimately charged for moving those same items. Priority items that were to be shipped directly weren’t deliver until 14 days later with no explanation. They damaged floors, wall and a countertop and are unwilling to repair them. Their customer service was utterly useless during the entire move. I would recommend anyone looking for movers to go elsewhere.
