I had an absolutely horrific experience with A&L Movers. I moved in April of 2022. Someone came to my old home to estimate moving supplies and packing materials as well as price. The guys showed up to pack and did not have enough materials to pack. They also did not estimate my total correctly - I was not charged more after the disaster that this turned into, so I'm grateful for that, but I would have gladly paid what it actually would have cost to not have the anxiety and literal tears over this move.
If you value your belongings, do not use this company. The workers were very friendly and helpful; however, they were 4 hours late due to a “flat tire”. There was damage to beds, nightstands, bookshelves etc. After several text messages (4), two phone calls and a message left, within the span of a week, I have yet to hear from the owners. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Terrible, terrible management. Not a way to treat your customers. Beware!
I believe you have the wrong company. We did not do this.
This company made the news and refused to honor a quotr for a doctor, called the.police and threatened the doctor with arrest if she did not pay the bill. The statutorily defected charge: Theft of Services. Nobody in Louisiana knows the law. Theft of Services.relate to utility services. Do not use this company or they may not honor their quote and call.their friends at the police department to have you arrested.
We have never done business with you, and this is simply untrue.
A & L Movers moved me on December21st. While moving my dining table broke and 2 antique pieces were scratched. It took until February for them to pick up my table. Then, it took until May 8 for a response that they could not fix my table. When they called they said they would put a check in the mail (which was less than my table was worth). I sent my address and I have yet to receive the check. I have tried contacting them and get no answer. I would not recommend them.
I am sorry you were not satisfied with your move. We did everything we could to get the table repaired, including having it repaired a second time. Unfortunately both attempts did not have an acceptable outcome.
The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had. The movers arrived three hours late, then assembled my sons crib and broke it beyond repair, and then charged me additional for staying an extra hour. We called the owner, and he refused to answer after confirming he’d follow-up. We are disgusted and would NEVER recommend this place!
It's terrible how this company treated the black lady doctor, intimidating her by calling the police who forced her to pay way more than was agreed with the company. Avoid this company by all means.

If you're reading this, you're probably moving soon and researching moving companies. Don't hesitate to use A & L! After never using a moving company for my previous moves, and after much research, I decided to give A & L a shot. I booked the move, held my breath, and crossed my fingers. From day 1, they were responsive and professional. I was skeptical when booking, but realized after the move, that they were honest and upfront about their costs and what to expect.

I live south of Lake Charles, LA about 20 miles from the Gulf. After a hard hit from Hurricane Laura in August of 2020, local movers needed to get salvageable furniture from severely damaged homes were soon booked up. My daughter-in-law called A & L Movers. What a blessing they were to me, needing help and having recently lost my husband. They came with all the necessary moving equipment and went into action!

This is a schemer campaign against two of the hardest working, most honest guys I know who built A&L from nothing. If you’re really looking for a great moving company, then look no further. A&L Movers has moved my family and I on four different occasions. They are the most professional, respectful and punctual moving company I’ve ever worked with. Their pricing was straight forward and honest and at the end of the move, the pricing was exactly what was agreed upon in the beginning.
