I had to come back and edit my review due to prematurely adding it at the request of the movers who pretty much COACHED me as to what to write. I now see why they did that (and that honestly should've been a red flag). The movers started off great and seemed to be doing a good job at first, then it seemed as though after submitting my 2 reviews that they requested from both me & my mother each, they started moving slow (since they base their rates on time), they even drove extremely slow (way slower than any…
DO NOT hire A2 Moving — total rip-off and waste of time! Omg, I seriously regret calling them. They tried to charge me $250 just to move a TV — on top of other hidden fees! I wasn’t even asking for a full move or a …
I’ll start with the positives, the crew was prompt, polite, and did a great job with assembling my furniture. However, smiling while scamming me didn’t make it any better. To start they arrived and immediately mentioned a $150 heavy item charge for each item that was not anywhere in the estimate they sent. This applied to my refrigerator and both bed sets. At this point I needed to get out of my apartment and had no choice but to accept what their add one.
I got three movers to help pack and move my one bedroom apartment into a pod. The movers were young, disinterested, and seemed overwhelmed by the task. One showed up in slides (sandals). They loosely packed items in boxes, and threw some items into the pod container without putting them into boxes. They placed my paper shredder in the container unboxed - resulting in shredded paper spilling all over the place. They also left numerous items behind that I instructed them to pack.

They were professional, organized, and made the entire moving process stress-free. I was impressed by how efficiently they packed and unloaded everything without wasting any time. Got 4 people to help us move a home of 3bed and 2.5bath. Now we also had made half of the garage into a gym so there were a lot of stuff. They all had a good attitude and were all friendly! * Updated review: A few things worth knowing before you book. Lunch costs: I was not made aware at the time of booking that the client is expected to pay for the movers' lunches. We ended up ordering DoorDash for them mid-move. Items left behind: Quite a few smaller details were missed.
Hands down the best choice in movers with reasonable prices in a local owned business. A2 moving came prepared with their truck, tools, and boxes. They were so efficient in packing up my 2nd story apartment with no elevator; and they safely moved all my items (including a heavy fridge) down the stairs and into our next home. Our movers were very organized in packing up our loose items and prioritizing them to ensure an accident free move.
