IF I COULD RATE 0 stars I would !!!!!! I am beyond disappointed with this moving company. Not only were they nearly two hours late (scheduled for 1:00 PM, didn’t show until 2:52 PM), but the amount of damage they caused to my belongings is appalling. • They broke my $500 vanity and offered me a laughable $50 discount. • My TV stand/fireplace unit is visibly broken. • And to top it off — my TV is now severely damaged. Only a sliver of the screen works, and the rest is blacked out.
Mrs. Rhonda, We are extremely sorry to hear about your bad experience with Abba Movers. Unfortunately, IKEA and other particle board furniture has a high chance of screws getting stripped during the moving process, no matter how carefully we move those items.
I did not enjoy my experience moving with Abba Mover. My coffee table was broken as well as a filing cabinet in transition. Also, I couldn’t find one of the movers for about 30mins while loading up the truck. When you’re paying by the hour, every minute counts but I did not feel that my movers were working efficiently. Finally, after they rebuilt my bed, I found what looked like missing screws and the bed is no longer stable.

The movers were very polite & personable. However, I had some furniture that was either broken and/or was not put back together properly. I called to let them know what was broken, they referred me to a guy that fixes the damages, but he never called back or showed up. I just expected more especially after paying almost $1,200. Now I either have to try to fix it myself or repurchase the items which are pretty expensive.
Abba Movers are the bomb! Very organized. Very careful! Very polite. My office has used them twice. My good friend just used them to move her to storage. They will move her again to her new place in November. I HIGHLY recommend them. UPDATE: July 30,2026 I have always raved about Abba Movers. I don't know what happened when I moved the week of June 30, 2026 but I have never been so disappointed and very upset to say the least.
Do not use this moving company! I cannot tell you the number of items they broke or damaged due to their poor packing skills and lack of attention to my items. I had hired them for 2 hours, and they stayed only 1 hour and 15 minutes. When my POD arrived at my destination, the movers moving me in to my new home were horrified by how terrible everything was packed. They refused to use the packing materials I had provided (tie downs, moving blankets, and wrap).
I hired Abba movers because I saw good reviews on them. First I want to say that the young men helping me with my move were amazing. I had a really bad experience tho . The truck they rented for my move broke down twice. They arrived at my house around 12ish. I did have 3 stops to make but after the first stop when we were heading to my storage unit the truck broke down right by my storage unit . So that took a couple of hours to get it fixed. After it was fixed they got my belongings from the unit.
We are sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with our company ma’am. You weren’t charged for any of our idle time, and we also gave you a $130 discount for the inconvenience. As far your missing items, I can assure you that It wasn’t the doing of our guys.
Compared to other movers my wife and I have enlisted, we just weren't impressed. Granted, this was our only move to cross (multiple) state lines (LA to MI). But let's not kid ourselves, folks: There is absolutely no difference between a load up for a one mile move and a load up for a 10,000 mile move. If the company tells you otherwise, they're just lying. So why were the pleasant gentlemen we met from Two Men & a Truck last time we moved so much more urgent, eager and can-do than these guys?
These guys were very professional, super nice, and fast. They communicated with me a lot before the move, confirming when they'd be there, names of movers, etc. The truck they brought was huge, more than enough space for our stuff and they were right on time. They had all the relevant equipment and clearly knew how to pack a truck right. They even asked us if they could load up items we'd overlooked. Most of all they were so fast and nice!

In their own words
Abba movers came recommended by my apartment building. They have consistently had a good reputation. I originally booked my move for December 15 and they were able to quickly accommodate change in plans and re-book my move for November 4. They always pick up the phone, quoted me accurately, and responded to emails. They do not accept deposits - so naturally I was hesitant, but trusted their reviews and local recommendations. David and Josh showed up on time, and communicated via text when they would be arriving.
The crew was polite and worked quickly and efficiently. I moved from a house to a storage unit and the crew utilized the freight elevator with ease. Fair price. I will be using Abba Movers for my next move.
They were great. Adam, Ricky, and Julio were on time, efficient and friendly. They didn’t waste any time getting started and moved quickly (but not rushing if that makes sense). Even when my mom kept adding things to take, they happily loaded it on to the truck. At the new house, my mom got super picky but unsure about her heavy bedroom furniture and adam took time to help her figure it out and put the bed together..
The movers were very cordial and professional. The setup was done online and management followed up with me to confirm over the phone. My only critique is that over the phone an important key element was miscommunicated: I told them that I had a 3 BR place but only one bedroom set to move. That was communicated to the movers as having to work a 1 BR place. That resulted in the 2 x movers being overwhelmed with the amount of stuff to move and resulted in added hours even though I also became a mover and helped out.
