I have moved 15 times in my life, and this company is, by a wide margin, the worst moving company I have ever dealt with. It started with the packers. Although we did not opt to buy the moving supplies from them, at a cost of approximately $950, they started using their own supplies anyway, until I caught them. Later, after after the move was in progress, the company rep told us he wanted us to pay for the supplies!....deplorable!!!. So off our possessions went, and off we went to Chicago from Palm Springs.
We chose Acme because they presented themselves as compassionate, careful, and trustworthy. During the sales process, the salesperson "D" connected personally with our situation, including my cancer diagnosis and the fact that we had been forced to sell nearly everything in order to relocate. What remained was precious to us. We trusted this company with those belongings. That trust was a mistake.
We have used their comny twice...when we moved the Los Angeles area to the California desert in La Quinta. Then when we moved from the California desert to Arizona and in both instances , while going through my belongings after the move I keep finding items that I knew I had were missing. For it to happen once might have been my error but when it happened again, I find it curious and irritating. Until I can go through all the items packed by then, I'm not sure how many items are missing.
They were the worst moving company I ever used. I am begging you "Dp not use then". they took my smart flat panel TV, Blue Ray and many other valuable items. It took almost 7 weeks for my things to reach me and they claimed it was keep in a climate control storage. IT CLEARLY wasn't. so many items were melted and had to be throw out.
Whoever was driving the dually truck with the ad wrap down the 60 freeway today was driving like an absolute maniac. Going over 100 miles per hour and weaving in and out of traffic. I wouldn't want someone who drives this way to handle my stuff.

I can't recommend Acme/Move Happy enough! My parents and I recently moved from Cathedral City to Indio, and we were on a pretty tight timeline. I reached out to Doug, and from the very first phone call, he was incredibly kind, professional, and reassuring. He came out the very next day to provide an estimate, and we were scheduled the same week for the move! When we unexpectedly ran into issues with our new house, I called Doug to see if they could hold our belongings a little longer.
