In their own words
This business does a poor job of keeping records and this does not appear to have changed since 2020. I downsized into one unit from two and of course they charged me for two. I hung around after I closed one unit to confirm that they would charge me correctly. They did not and now I am calling to correct their clerical mistake. The connection with corporate seems to falter every chance it could have thusfar. You will also have to wait a week or so to access your unit.
Crosstown Movers was the worst moving company we have dealt with in 24 years of military service. They fraudulently applied false damage codes to our itemized sheets during our TMO pack-out, knowing it would prevent us from filing claims later. Our furniture was only 10 months old and in excellent condition, yet they marked it as damaged to protect themselves. This behavior is dishonest and exploitative, especially toward military families.
Ms Dow, we are very sorry to hear about your negative experience with our company. We have worked with the military for a long time now and we take great pride in the services we provide to our military families.
They broke my favorite frame and do not want to pay for it. They even sent an appraiser to look at it, and now are claiming there is no proof that the frame was double-sided glass. Well, your appraiser can tell you that it is! They broke other things too but I didn’t even claim. Such a garbage company. Would give zero stars if I could.
This company has been recently accused of selling off Military Service Member's property while the Service Member was on deployment without a court order. Be wary.

I had a great experience with Across Town Movers from start to finish. They handled my initial move, stored all of my belongings, and then helped with the final move into my new place. The team was thorough, professional, and incredibly efficient. They worked quickly while taking great care of everything, and made the entire process seamless and stress-free. Great communication and an awesome crew. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone in San Diego!
If I could give these guys 10 stars I would. Daniel and David did such an amazing job packing up for our PCS! They moved all of our items with care and were so respectful. They wrapped everything up nicely and got done pretty quickly! We are definitely Very satisfied and would use this company again!

Across Town Movers were easy to work with. They handled my goods with competence, were always responsive by phone and email, and were overall a pleasure to work with. Evan was especially helpful. Their prices were fair and policies reasonable. I recommend them for moving and storage.
