Affordable Moving Service & Storage, Inc.

I had damage to a bedroom set, and filed a claim. They ignore my calls. My wife called and was given excuses like checks in the mail or check will be mailed on Friday. I tracked down their office in Mid Cape Terrace. It was unmarked and the trucks were hidden at the end of the building. A young fellow opened a locked door and couldn't answer any of my questions. I told him to tell his boss to call me because I'm going to file small claims court. Mr. Jensen - you had your chance to call me.

Honestly this company scammed me i meet with the owner him self and quoted me a price then after they packed my stuff charged my double the price per box they used I paid $4000 for just boxes. And then a total of $7000.00 and that did even include moving my stuff to my new home. My total was just for packing and boxes mind you my stuff were not moved to my new home. I confronted the owner and was very unprofessional even wanted to get physical with my husband.

To Owner: You still make false assumptions in regard my "vulgar language", even I explained you what I have told to your employee. Please, refrain from doing it again. As a business owner you should take into consideration everything what was pointed out to you. All what you've written in your response to justify the errors done by your employees, can not explain poor job and destruction of my goods, that should not be expected of professional movers, as it states in the name of your business.

I cannot make this up. I am currently deployed in Europe working for the U.S Army. My wife was offered an amazing position with the Space Force in Huntsville, AL. She did her due diligence looking for a moving company in Cape Coral to move our things to Huntsville and chose Affordable Moving and Storage. That's where the nightmare began. On January 20th 2024, the movers came to get our belongings. We were told everything would be delivered with 4 days.

I felt scammed using this company. They said they were sending out two movers and a truck. They sent out an injured guy (very nice guy but honest about how hurt he was, I had to give him ibuprofen because I felt so bad) and a runner who barely knew what to do. I told them which furniture I wanted on the truck and the runner kept putting all of the boxes on and before I knew it some of the wrong furniture was in the truck and there was no time to get it all back out.

I had the most HORRIBLE experience with this "company"! Upon calling and getting a quote, I was told I would not be charged for drive time and sure enough at the end, you guessed it, they tacked that on. The mover guy came up with some excuse and I tried to resolve the issue with the owner and was told the owner would be calling and no returned call came from the owner. The final straw, I will not go into detail about but do yourself a HUGE favor and do not hire this unethical company under any circumstances!
