Akron Move It Now

They moved me in the summer of 2018 and I will never use them again. The estimate they gave me was around half of the final charge. They damaged some of my furniture and damaged walls in my new home. They were adamant about the higher charge and after I paid them never heard back when I called to get items fixed.

We had an apartment move scheduled for an arrival time of 12-2pm. We had a confirmation call on Friday to confirm those details. We were told we would get a call 1/2 hour before their arrival. We were also told the movers would likely be early as their first job was expected to be short. However, on the day of our move no one showed up or called during the 12-2pm window. At 1:30 we attempted to contact the office and the phone went straight to a voicemail. I left a message asking for an ETA.

I cannot begin to tell you what a nightmare this move was. It all began with Schuyler, the gentlemen that came out to give me a quote. He underestimated the space needed for our move, stating ‘our one, BIG truck will fit all of your stuff.’ Fast forward to the day of the move, only 2/3 of our stuff fit. He not only couldn’t get the job done in one day as originally promised, but he charged me an additional $300+ to come back the next day.

I've used Move It Now before and had great experiences. Not so much this last time. It took the guys 20 minutes before they ever got something on the truck. And that was only after I brought it to their attention. After the move, I realized I was missing a box. They put things both in a storage unit and my apartment. The box wasn't in either place and wasn't left behind in the old apartment per the old landlord. So somehow it mysterious disappeared!

I would not recommend this company at all. I typically use 2 men and a truck but they didnt have the date I needed. They got most of my furniture on the truck then they stated they couldn’t finish the job. They didnt not finish the job and removed all my furniture off the truck and just pack everything in my living room. Then the tall skinny said rude unprofessional speaking at the end. I just trying to move. Would not recommend

I wished I would have sorted through the reviews that were 1 star and I would’ve saved myself the headache. I had a moved scheduled between 10 and 11 with instructions that a driver would call me when they were on the way. 1st of all they call you from an unknown number, when I finally spoke to the driver at 11, he said he was 30 minutes away and didn’t even get to my house until about noon.

My experience with Move It Now was and still is horrible. There were 2 separate places certain items were to be moved to from one house. A storage unit, and an apartment. The truck was not loaded properly resulting in items being moved to the wrong locations. After paying 1.5 times the quoted price, I was left with moving the items to their proper locations, at my expense. My apartment was so full by the time they left I could not get to my refrigerator or stove. For 2 days I had to order food so I could eat.

I scheduled an appointment and the first one I canceled. I called back and scheduled I told them I was moving out the 15th and they gave me a time frame of 11-1. I called them just now at 12:40 wondering where they were at because they’re suppose to call you 30 min when they’re on the way. Well come to find out they never even had me on the schedule for today! I am furious! The earlier appointment I had I canceled because I am being evicted and I didn’t realize I had so much time as I did.
